This Place Is So Corrupted

If anyone wants my opinion, here it is:

I've been here almost two years? I think, yeah. About two years. Came here when I was 12, and I'm going to be 14 this year. Now, I'm young, but when I came here I'll be honest. I was a teenie, and i typed crazy. But through this forum i've changed a hella lot, so you can't even say the mods haven't been lenient or put up with alot of shit, cause everyone here has had their moments, okay?

Back in the day it used to be alot more relaxed here. I think everyone remembers the days of Chrissy? What about when Aaron and Phantom Duck (and his many name changes) posted tons? Or before the name change phase went around? Yeah. Maybe I saw the mods differently then, but I think the atmosphere was alot more relaxed. The games arent played as often. Debates are taken as not just discussions, but as flame wars, if you read between the lines.

I think that if everyone comes here with a relaxed attitude, and realizes this is an internet forum, one for leisure time and fun activity, then everything will get back to normal. Original topics, and stuff. If you dont like what's going on with the staff, PM an Admin. I mean, really. There is absolutely no reason at all for 4498538956 topics like this to be spread all the way around Random Thoughts. Honestly. Maybe one main thread in feedback and then the rest can be handled privately, because in these threads it only instigates fighting.

In conclusion, shut the fuck up and try to get along, okay? Mods and members alike. We're all here for friendly discussion, and remember the forum name. Linkin Park Association. That's the reason we're all really here, whether it's a main reason or not anymore. Spread the love :hugz:

Will has had enough vacations. Mark, Derek, or someone else needs to make sure he is going to be an right admin and stay and sort things out even if it becomes stressful.

I would give Casey a month aswell.

In my opinion, you're selfish for getting involved in something that had nothing to do with you.

 

Another opinion: Paul could've, and should've handled this a lot better, as well as go through PM instead of starting a thread like this.

We did, but also note that we had a lot less members. With the massive influx of members this site has now, I wouldn't blame the staff for getting a little more strict over the years.

Have you read this thread at all? Admins were asking me to LPUnderground MP3s and I thought it was wrong. Get off my back, all of you.

 

True, but I remember when I came the mods gave me a friendly warning before directly banning me for saying Chester's lip ring was "hott". Nowadays the kids are just turned away. I guess it depends on the level of teeniness, but I think that if someone definately says that it was a joke or something like that immediately hardcore banning action shouldnt be taken. We want to keep good members, not turn them away for doing something momentarily stupid.

I agree that he was harsh at times, but PJ has a point--let's just get off his back. This thread isn't about Will.

I PMed Mark after the incident in the 30STM thread but never got a reply. I PMed Will after he came back but never got a reply.

 

but then again, casey was banned for making a joke, which both ends of the joke agreed on.

honestly, i dont think paul was wrong for voicing his opinions, but i dont really want to get into this conversation and start arguing with anyone.

I know I can be one Hell of a bitch, but it's 10:30, I worked all day long and honestly, I don't think it's worth spending time on expressing a point of view which was mostly already stated.


To resume what i think: Yes, Will is kind of a drama queen, but Hell, let him be himself. Yes, you may think he overreacted, but it just happened to be on Casey. Coincidence of the day, it was his third warning. I don't think Will did it because he searched for reasons to ban Casey. Too bad it had to happen in those circumstances. Now, who are we to discuss of who gets banned or not while we're regular members, that's for others to tell. I just persnally think that what is done is done and that instead of bitching each others, we should simply enjoy the boards and stop acting like our whole life depended on what happens there. Some of us may be addicted to this site, but come on, I'm sure nobody will die because of what happened today.

I still think the LPA is a great site, with good admins who do a great job, but puh-lease, stop all the soap-opera act!
