What I was referring to was Derek using Casey calling LJ a spic off-forum as part of the reasoning for his banning.

 

He should of never been warned in my opinion. A blog is like a personal diary, with the exception that everyone could access it.

 

To your first paragraph, I think it comes down to two things: 1) High tensions from members feeling like they need to be harsh to be heard and 2) A few idiots who will just be harsh because that's what they're like.

To your second paragraph, I agree that racism is an ugly thing, but I don't think what he said to LJ off-site should effect what happens to him here. You want to ban someone for racism on the forums, then ban away. But policing us off-forum too? [/b][/quote]

I'm not going to say me calling LJ what I did was just my twisted humour, but I didn't mean it in an offensive way, I promise you that. If LJ thought I did, I really wish he would have told me before he did you, because it only brought un-necessary problems.
And, frankly, I've told you about the way I am off these forums, and in my real life. I take things to the extreme probably when I shouldn't, and I've had a racist up-bringing. But I would never be racist on these forums. I don't think my personal life is any of your concern.

Let me rephrase then: I was referring to Derek using off-forum comments as evidence against Casey.

I don't know what Derek was trying to say there about Casey, but that's not a part of the warnings. This place isn't a country club where we pick friends. We're also reviewing the warning. Well, then like you said I don't know why Derek brought it up. He mentioned it, and I argued, and if it had nothing to do with the warning then there's really no point going on.

But Derek's posts made it sound like the choice to warn Casey (which would obviously cause a ban) had less to do with what he specifically said and more to do with his character.

If I was mistaken, which I seem to be, then I'm sorry. But like I said before I don't know why Derek brought it up if it wasn't an issue.

 

What the hell does the LPA awards have to do with anything, Paul? Aren't you arguing about the way the mods handle things?
