Full Story This means that all tab sites could be taken down. Mxtabs.net is already down. Taborama.com is still up but has taken all the tabs down. This fucking sucks...
Fucking hell. What is the point? Some kid with a guitar wants to learn how to play their favorite emo song. How is that hurting anybody? As for the lyrics thing...again, HOW IS IT HURTING ANYONE? Especially when you've got a booklet with hard to read or incomplete lyrics...
That's the most ridiculous thing I've read in a long while. It's also one of the stupidest things I've read in a long while.
What. The. Fuck. This is absolutely ridiculous. Lyrics and tabs on the internet are not hurting anyone, they're a big help for many reasons. Fucking stupid.
wow , i could really see the music industry going downhill from here.. does this mean that soon the tabs/lyrics on this site will have to be taken down also?
The RIAA and copyright have gone to far. When they started sueing people there were less downlaoders, they have shot themselves in the foot by making a big fuss about it all. Why make a fuss when it was a very small percentage. It has only encouraged me to download more. I admit if there is a new LP Album out or someone i reall really like to listen to I buy but most of the time I see it as a waste of money. Why should we pay so much so that the man at the top of the company can have a new merc at the end of the year?
I suppose they want to take them down so they can make money off songbooks. This just makes me want to download music more.
It always was about money when crap like this comes up. They've definitely crossed the line with this one.
I'm seriously not paying an other motherfucking CD from one of these RIAA-MPA-cock-sucking mainstream recording companies until they change their selfish attitude. Fuck you, music industry. [/avenger angry mode]
I'm going to go buy a CD tomorrow. Just because. It's not like this is life changing for anyone. No one's freedom is being taken away because P2P and now tabs and lyrics are "illegal" on the internet. Methods of the two will always exist in a free form, so why worry? [insert replies of how the RIAA sucks and how it's not right even though I fully know that, etc etc]
its stupid like what most of the guys have already said, i mean like, how the hell is getting tabs or lyrics affecting the bloody industry? its not like the industry even gets hurt from distribution of tabs or lyrics! wtf....
Sure, take songs off the net but take there Lyrics Is plain stuipid, i mean, lyrics are just words for a song for all, and there taking that away? some cd dont even come with lyric booklet.
I had to do a cause and effect paper for my english paper and I did it on how downloading music illegally effects the music industry. Music sales had actually gone up since P2P networking had been available. Most people download a song or two and then buy the CD if they liked what they heard. I guess all we can do is be sorry for helping?
