Fuck you Echelon, just leak the fucking album. (I say this because people on Twitter have been posting about their early arriving CD's.)
Just fuck Echelon in general. If their voices appear on more than two tracks on this album, I'll be done with this band.
I know nothing about 30STM, but the fancy fanbase name pretty much speaks for itself. Also all the symbolism and "poetic" view towards everything is a recipe for snobby attitude, it just makes me roll my eyes. From Wiki, Leto about the Echelon: Cheesy as hell. And I thought MCR's fanbase was corny.
This goes a long way back, but back in the early 2000s between their debut and sophomore albums there were a series of very rare 30 Seconds To Mars songs called Valhalla, Occam's Razor, and Phase 1: Fortification. They were pretty much impossible to find anywhere, because a close-knit group of members of The Echelon had decided that only the "worthy" fans deserved to hear these songs, perhaps by band declaration. Having the songs in your possession was hilariously considered a "status" thing. I eventually found the songs on my own through IRC channels and decided to zip them up and post them on the 30 Seconds To Mars boards of the time, because I was sick of people asking where to find them only to have others shit all over them for being "newbs" or "unworthy" fans. You should have seen the meltdown. The thread only stayed up for 1 hour, but I got responses from at least 20 people saying "THANK YOU!!!" and had another 50 people say various versions of "NOOO!! THEY'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE THESE!" It also doesn't help that Jared pretty much divides his own fanbase into classes. It's just a circle jerk of pretentiousness.
Not literally dividing them into classes. But see Andreina's Jared quote about The Echelon "not being for everyone". He promotes elitism. He's being the same "true fans" person that roams Linkin Park Chat.
Under six hours to go until the release of this album and it hasn't been leaked yet. Fucking amazing. Congrats to the band and Virgin Records. Got my 20 bucks in my iTunes account ready for the strike of midnight!
I think we've truly been spoiled when it comes to new music. We're complaining that it hasn't leaked when generally, that's just a luxury. IMPORTANT EDIT: To those whom it may concern: LOVE LUST FAITH + DREAMS is now available on iTunes in New Zealand. Someone buy that shit and leak it FFS.
