Didn't find the episode particularly interesting but that last part in which Rick was tripping balls was fucking great, freaky.
Rick going crazy is just another stupid plot device to have things work out like the writers want. Just like Lori had to be the dumbest human being to ever exist for the story to go the direction they saw fit. Can't you just tell a story where things don't magically come out of the blue? Be creative.
Hahaha, I know that feeling. For what it's worth, I thought the first half of season three was a relative improvement over season two. There are still a lot of glaring flaws (and I mean a lot), but I'm just a sucker for genre tv I guess. I overlook the flaws because the bar for horror-themed shows is so low. Now I just laugh off the stupid shit on this show like it's coming from some dimwitted friend from childhood who I know is never going to change. "Oh, you!"
Cutting the season in half is a shit idea in the first place, and this episode yesterday sucked fucking balls. Jesus Christ this show can't stabilize and ever get good writing, which is bad in itself. Changing the fucking director every season is absolutely moronic. What a waste.
Rick going crazy happens in the comic. It'll be interesting to see how Rick continues to lose control of the group. Time for the invisitags. I'm really hoping they're leading things to some of my favorite Rick moments, beating the shit out of Thomas, which can't happen with "Tomas", but there's still.. Merle and the "WE ARE THE WALKING DEAD!!" rant. Random observations: Hershel will be around for awhile to fill the vacuum left behind from Dale in the storyline. Daryl is touchable, and I won't be surprised if he doesn't make it to Season 4, despite the fan-favorite status. More invisitags below.. Daryl could end up being the captive during the Governor's assault on the prison. And.. what in the hell are they trying to do with Michonne's character besides not doing anything with her?
I don't understand why Rick wants to get rid of Michonne. Have I missed something? Good episode, all in all, and I agree with Hawk about the ending.
Rick just doesn't seem to like her haha. Her constant on edge-ness and brandishing her sword everywhere probably just makes him nervous.
Because Rick is an idiot. He never asks questions or thinks. For all he knows, all these new people could be doctors or farmers or people with very rare skills. He's just a really, really dumb character.
Rick is turning people away from the group because he's tired of losing people and feeling like it's his fault that they're dying off. He won't be leading the group within two weeks. === 107 is definitely more.. optimistic.. than I thought it would be. Still.. invisy! It was fun to see Rick and Negan fist fight. At least I had that part right. Now, if Rick had both of his hands he'd have gone all Thomas on him...
Well at least this week's episode was a lot better than the mid-season premiere last week. Once we got past the bullshit with Rick hallucinating and Andrea at Woodbury it turned out to be a pretty decent episode with an awesome ending.
So much for the "everyone suddenly became expert marksman" thing. I'm finally on the Daryl bandwagon after 310, but he's still no Abraham Ford. Where did Tyreese go? Pains me to say it, but the action is the drama of the series. Practically any time there's a dialogue scene between two characters it's going to be painful, especially when Maggie is involved. Although, I did dig the conversation between Rick and Hershel before the Governor's first assault. Also, I like how they're trying to turn Hershel into new-Dale. LOLGLENN RIP Axel. If you're a minor character and you start to get developed, you're going to die. You follow me?
