Intro to I'm a Fake Small simple safe price Rise the wake and carry me with all of my regrets This is not a small cut that scabs, dries, and heals And I'm not afraid to die And I'm not afraid to bleed, and ####, and fight I want the pain of payment What's left but a section of pigmy sized cuts Much like a slew of a thousand un-wanted ####s Would you be my little cut? Would you be my thousand ####s? And make a mark leaving space For the guilt to be liquid To fill and spill over and under my thoughts My sad sorry selfish cry out to the cutter I'm cutting, trying to picture your black, broken heart Love is not like anything Especially a ####### knife
The album is AMAZING. Yes, it is a lot different than the debut. I didn't expect it to sound the same since the guys have been through a lot. I love it more and more each time I listen to it. If you are a person that prefers Blue and Yellow or On My Own then you will love this album. My favorite tracks are Yesterday's Feelings, It's Hard to Say, and I'm a Fake. The intro to I'm a Fake is great.
Whats crazy is that when they were recording, Bert's dog, whom he named David Bowie, had been hit by a car and killed and one of his ex-girlfriend's Overdosed and died on July 4th. One of the songs on the CD was written about Bert's Dog...I think it was either "It's Hard to Say" or "Yesterday's Feelings", I forget. (I'm not just rambling, but Paulette's post made me think about that)
I hadn't known that. I just know that people close to them had died. It's Hard to Say may have been about Bert's ex. I forgot to say that there is a lot less screaming in this album but it is still incredible.
I get to see them on Oct. 30th! weird! [/b][/quote] But you surely have less road than I have to do to see them! Montreal-Toronto is 7 hours of bus!
I'll probably buy this album next week. Got alot of shopping to do come September 28th (Talib Kweli and Joss Stone both have new albums, and I need to get Atmosphere and M.O.P).
