It's extremely pleasing to see Waiting For the End's sales above one million. That song deserves it. Didn't know Bleed it out was such a big hit. You'd think Faint or Somewhere I belong would do better. Guess LP closing out every show for the past 8 years with BIO helped a lot.
Thanks! Just do everything you can at your best. I've heard they sold about 20 or 30 million copies worldwide, but I think it's way less than that. Maybe 10 or 15.
SYSTEM OF A DOWN ALBUM IN STUDIO 1998 – System of a Down: 2,200,000 2001 – Toxicity: 6,700,000 2002 – Steal This Album!: 1,700,000 2005 – Mezmerize: 4,200,000 2005 – Hypnotize: 3,600,000 TOTAL: 18,400,000
I remember that some time ago I read somewhere that Hybrid Theory reached 25 million sales WW, and they listed Meteora with 17 and MTM 12 million.
LP is the best selling act in America since 2000. Almost 25 million copies of their albums sold. With THP in stores now, it'll easily go over that level a bit. Nickelback is number two and 3 Doors Down is somewhere on a lower rank. https://music.yahoo.com/photos/top-new-acts-since-2000-1403561474-slideshow/
THE HUNTING PARTY SALES - WEEK 1: 270,000 copies WW (113,810 in the USA) Global chart album #2 - WEEK 2: 99,000 copies WW (27,753 in the USA) Global chart album #5 TOTAL: 369,000 copies WW (updated to July 1)
This week THP sold almost 16,000 copies here in the States bringing it's total album sales to 155,352.
Still too soon for me to tell if their new album is a hit or not and I'm still waiting for the worldwide sales along with the total, but I know THP will get a decent amount of copies sold since LP is still one of the most biggest bands since 2000.
Quit worrying about sales. This album could sell one copy and I bought it which is all that honestly matters.
I think this is a rather interesting thread. We'll keep it here for now because I think it's interesting for people to see how Linkin Park does in sales compared to other bands. Thanks for all of the information, Kaito!

The only thing that would save it is if the singles become big. Edit: It'll hit 750k. Just very slowly.
Yep album is a flop. And there is no excuse around it. You can't claim rock albums don't sell because bands like Avenged Sevenfold (much heaver than THP) manage to do well, you can't claim it was anti-commercial because ATS did well and you can't claim it's the music industry dying as every other big name seems to be doing well.
It's not a flop, the decline is normal, like every Rock band. We'll see soon the sales of other bands like Muse, Foo Fighters and Red Hot Chili Peppers who will issue their new album in the year end and then! we can understand if THP is a flop or not. So far, Linkin Park is the most successful rock band in the world since 2000, 14 years at the top!
Seether's new album dropped last week. They are a big enough band to expect 6-digit first-week sales figures from. Words as Weapons hit #1 on the active rock charts. How'd the album's first week sales do? "Rock band Seether claims its fourth top 10 album, as "Isolate and Medicate" bows at No. 4 with a little more than 37,000. The group's last studio release, 2011's "Holding Onto Strings Better Left to Fray," debuted and peaked at No. 2 off a 61,000 start." (Source: Billboard)
