Hi everyone. I'm a Linkin Park fan since 2012, but I´m new in here. I liked the new album very much, although some songs like Heavy, Battle Symphony or Halfway Right just didn´t appeal to me so much as did others like One More Light (probably the best and most meaningful of the whole record), Invisible, Nobody Can Save Me and Sorry for Now. I´ve always been interested on the commercial part of the bands I lke, so it would be interesting that someone can keep us updated (for example @Kaito) as to One More Light sales and also other LP album sales, which can always increase, even if only by a tiny number of copies. I also like other Evanescence, Nightwish, Within Temptation, Epica so it would also be interesting if you could estimate the sales of those bands (I know you already did that with Evanescence).

Let's see if OML can reach 1 million copies worldwide by the end of the year. It's difficult, though because they would have to be around 500 or 600k at this point. The bar I set for this record was probably too high, before we even knew any song I said 2 Million is the goal, but that will be almost impossible if not impossible. 600k was exactly how THP was at week 7 and still got the million in 1 year, so it won't be happening this time around and will most certainly be the least successful LP record in terms of sales. @Kaito, can you do Nightwish sales next?
After three weeks, my heart is still broken... After the suicide of Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington, three sets of the band return to the Global Top 10: 'One More Light', released in May 2017, comes back at no.5 with 126,000 sales. The bands most successful album, 'Hybrid Theory' from 2000, reaches no.8 with 89,000 sales and 'Meteora' from 2003 lands shy behind at no.9 with 78,000 sales. Chester Bennington) Total to date: 585,000 copies worldwide
It's tough for OML to get Platinum certification RIAA at this point of their career. and now that Chester's gone, people will never buy LP albums Post-Chester era.
I would be very happy to see OML reach Platinum in the US and eventually go on to sell at least 2 Million copies worldwide. That would be a very good way to pay a tribute to Chester even though we know its hard for any album in any country to achieve Platinum certification considering how sales drop every year. @Kaito, can you please update Linkin Park total sales of all albums and then do Avril Lavigne next?

Living Things being Gold, Platinum, as written in the above message means that LT has sold 1,5 million copies in the US or only Platinum and 1 Million copies?
Despite the great news, there are quite a few singles that are yet to be certified platinum even though they have crossed the one million mark such as: Breaking The Habit, Crawling, Somewhere I belong, and Faint. Hopefully Warner will decide to pay for these certifications soon, as well. Also, can someone with a Wikipedia account update Linkin Park's sales? On their page it states that they have sold 75 million records worldwide when they have sold much more than that. With their worldwide album sales at 63+ million, and their singles sales at over 30 million in the US alone, their sales are greatly understated, and it annoys me to see that. Their total record sales should easily exceed 100 million instead.
Yes, from the RIAA certifications the band has sold almost 30 million singles only in the US, so it can be even more than that worldwide in terms of singles. As to the albums I think HT has sold 30 million copies, Meteora is said on Wikipedia to have sold 27 million, MTM 20 million also according to Wikipedia, ATS 5 million, LT should be around 3 million, THP somewhere between 1,3 and 1,5 million and OML 652k. So, for albums that would be 86,952 million, which seems a number too big to believe in because Wikipedia sales figures are not always right, but that is what they say of sales in each LP album Wikipedia page.
Afaik the numbers in the main page of Wikipedia are rarely accurate. It's like they only bother to modify the figures in the discography page of the artist. I could be wrong though .
They also have sales figures on each album's page, but those rarely change. For THP on the album page it still says that it has sold only 900k, but we know that it was almost 1,5 Million. EDIT: I saw that OML was certified Gold in Germany for sales of 100k copies. It has now been certified in 3 countries (Gold in Germany 100k copies, Gold in HUngary, 3k copies and Silver in the UK, 60k copies) It's sad to see that people only valued this album after Chester's passing considering the overall quality of the album, but these are still good numbers.
