I'm really into old school punk and hardcore. GC, Simple Plan, and blink are to pop punk.Punk Is A Lifestyle not a dress code.

I, for the most part, hate the genre, but I can't help it when my friends play it in the car or on the sterio. I listened to a whole rancid album, and the 2 min songs were bland and repetitive

Yeah I don't know why people call her punk and a "poseur". She never claimed to be punk and her music backs that up. She doesn't even really dress punk. She's just rock. I don't really think it's a "Punk Revolution." It's mostly Pop Punk. That's like calling LB, LP and Korn the "Metal Revolution" because people label them Nu-metal.

I agree with everthing Jila and Andrea said. I’m not going to repeat it.

I voted for the first one because I like punk a lot. I do like those bands that you said a bit and I am not a teenie.

I never said that, I said "chances are your a teenie"... which is true, watch TRl and hang around people who like these bands, I do, and when it comes to those bands they act like a teenie. I only speek from exsperiance, I dont make stuff up; I dont intend to offend you...my apologies :(
I guess you're partly right. I bet Good Charlotte wouldn't be half as big if it wasn't for their teenies (If you're a Good Charlotte fan, I'm not calling you a teeny and I'm sorry if this post offends you). ;)

Hey, this is a little off-topic, but if you don't consider Coral Fang to be a punk album, what would you call it? Just wondering.
its more of a rock album. the closest song on CF to punk is Hall Of Mirrors and its not even that punk. if you listen to all three you can tell the difference.

I guess I'm what you'd call a "Punk Purist." I absolutely can't stand "pop punk." Here are my punk bands: The Misfits, Sex Pistols, The Ramone's, Dead Kennedy's, Bad Religion, NOFX, The Clash, Sum 41, The Offspring. I know I'm probably forgetting some, but those are pretty much it.

Well, even though I'm a big fan of Sum 41, I don't consider them punk or pop-punk..at least not anymore.
