Thorpie what a legend 2 Gold for Australia! It was nice to see him win the 400m i dont know if many of you know but at the Aussie trials he false started so wasnt meant to be competing in this event. but then his training partner, who was meant to go gave up his spot so Ian could compete. and what a shock when South Africa won the 4x100 relay
Meh, It's only been swimming, gymnastics, and cycling. I sense good things in tomorrow's rowing. And Nestor/Niemayer should do us fine in tennis. We'll have seven medals by Friday. that's a bold statement. but that's my guess.
Either you're bold or over optimistic
What makes me sick is the Iranian who, backed by his governement, made himself overweight not to face an Israeli.
What makes me sick is the Iranian who, backed by his governement, made himself overweight not to face an Israeli.
I heard he was overweight but I dind't know that. Wow. Haha, we smoked the Netherlands in Baseball. 7-0. We're unbeaten through 3 games. And the US basketball team nearly lost to Greece. My first post should be updated with todays statistics in about 10 minutes.
I like the gymnastics and swimming events. All extemely well done. I enjoyed watching them, it's fun watching people act like monkies. Plus, some of the male atheletes are pretty good looking. Mark, you've never seen a field hockey game?! It's a VERY fun sport. Did they play yet? I might've missed it...
And Canada continues to get pwned...although last time I watched, we were doin real good in baseball We'll kick more at the Winter Olympics Surprised nobody's mentioned Canada's very own Pool Tool...forgot his name though...I'm talkin about the guy that jumped into the pool wearing a tutu, and with an online casino ad on his body. God, those things are EVERYWHERE!
Up and down day/last couple of days for Canada. Child/Heese lost in Volleyball, Nestor lost in tennis, and the men's pairs rowing team got DQed in a controversial call (although I guess they did violate the rules). However, we got the men's fours/eights into the semis and they are both favoured to medal/take gold in their events. And the Canadian mens baseball team owns..... We're still waiting for Perdita Felicien and Simon Whittefield B) I don't think we'll do bad for a country of 30 million, eh?
Not bad at all. Plus, we have the womens volleyball team who are in the semis. Igali for wrestling. Gill for Judo. And the rowing teams rule. I was watching that race live last night at, like, 5am in the morning and although it did look weird, I don't see why the board couldn't allow a 7-boat final. I mean, the Canadians were leading for the first 1500-16000 meters of that race, and all of a sudden they're disqualified for something that happened in the last 10 meters? I was watching the Canadian womens water polo game last night against the US at about 6am and I got frustrated after 4-0 (or was it 4-1?) US, so I went to bed halfway through the third quarter. Man, they turned it on! It was, like, 5 goals in the last 5 minutes and we won 6-5. What a great comeback.
Sadly, I missed most of the womens volleyball :'( England are doing alright now but haven't gotten any gold medals yet We've got people in the mixed double finals of badminton and someone in the quater-final of womens judo or karate or something
finally the US is getting some gold medals, the mens swimming relay was insane and same with the mens all around gymnastics. very close finals. i just found out today an old friend of mine that i havent talked to in a while is representing the US in boxing. thats pretty awesome!
Carly Patterson won a gold for the United States. It's her first gold medal. [edit] And Michael Phelps won two gold medals for the US in the span of 40 minutes. lol.
I try to watch every game from Justine Henin-Hardenne. That's tennis by the way. She's doing great. This evening she will play her semifinal against Myskina.
Damn rights, Canada got its third medal today in Rowing. They got a silver and only lost by 8 hundreths of a second to Britain for the gold. Oh well i'm still looking forward to Igali in wrestling.
