The NIN Player is now up here. EDIT: "The Hand That Feeds" sounds x1000 better in this quality. Too bad both songs are just teasers.
Is it just my ears, or does the version of "The Line Begins To Blur" sound more produced (less demo-ish, you could say) than the apparently "album version" of the song leaked about a week ago.
The Line Begins to Blur sounds slightly better than the version I have but not much, so I guess it was the way it was supposed to sound. It'll take some getting used to but both are still good songs IMO.
The only song that has alot of difference, to me atleast, is "The Hand That Feeds", but that was to be expected. This is funny. I wasn't really that excited about "With Teeth" when I heard the leaked songs. Granted I wanted the album when I heard the songs, and I still do, but the player has made me very excited for it. Also, I'm working on a theory I came up with a few minutes ago about the next NIN album.
I just realized the "NIN.COM" at the end of the teaser in the player looks uncanningly like LP Text. Although it has nothing to do with that whatsoever. True, I think the teaser TLBTB sounds better than the leaked version.
It's just a working theory right now, but I think it's possible that we'll see an entirely instrumental Nine Inch Nails CD in the future. Isn't it possible that the next NIN record (EP?) will be an entirely instrumental album? Trent himself said that songs were scrapped from "With Teeth", and are in plans for being used on the next record. I think it's very possible that some, if not all of those songs were instrumentals, and he's planning something totally new and different for NIN in the future. Imagine it. I mean what is NIN most known for? Besides Closer and maybe Head Like A Hole, they're known for Trent's love of instrumentals. It's always been a mainstay in NIN's setlist, and basically their entire musical being, and the fans either love or hate the instrumentals. I, for one, hope I'm right. I loved the instrumentals on "The Fragile", and "A Warm Place" on The Downward Spiral.
That theory is god among other theories. If it turns out true, I will be so happy. I love NIN instrumentals. The Fragile is my favorite album, so that would just be awesome. When would it come out though? Six years from now?
I'd imagine it'd be maybe 2 years after the release of "With Teeth". It won't be a full blown album, but rather an EP maybe, like Broken. Knowing Trent, he'll tour like a bitch for "With Teeth", so it won't seem like long.

When would it come out though? Six years from now? [/b][/quote] That'd be awesome. I'd love something else like "La Mer". The piano loop in that is great. "Pilgrimage, "The Mark Has Been Made", "Complication", and "Ripe (With Decay)" are amazing as well. Although I must say I don't like the diving board-esque sound in "Underneath It All", although it's not an instrumental.
The player sounds a hundred times better than the leaked songs, if you ask me. I still hate "The Line Begins To Blur", though.
Is it just me or are most of Trent's remixes of the original songs better than the originals? Case in point; "Something I Can Never Have (Quiet)" (by a longshot), "The Day The World Went Away (Quiet)" (a little better than the original). With that in mind, are there many "Quiet" remixes?
There is no Quiet remix of Something I Can Never Have. The only Quiet remixes I know of are Hurt & The Day The World Went Away.
Well, I have a different version. Apparently it was done for an MTV special. It's got a piano, acoustic guitar, and Trent singing. Is this just an acoustic version of the song? Or a remix?
Sounds like the version off of the CD "Still". The whole CD is an acoustic CD of sorts, with unreleased instrumentals that was going to be in the Robin Williams movie, "One Hour Photo". Also on that CD is quite possibly the most beautiful and emotional NIN instrumental ever created...Leaving Hope.
So is that the version that you're talking about? Off of Still? It's weird, on eBay, you'd think "Still" would be expensive, but the "We're In This Together Parts 1, 2, & 3" singles are more expensive than "Still". Weird.
I believe so. I've only got 3 tracks from 'Still'. So I'm guessing it is. Looking for the rest on mIRC.

Oh.. my... GOD!! I just heard the 13 clips. They are just one minute loops of the choruses. This CD is going to kick so much ass! The songs are more... "airy". Space inbetween the instrumentation. The songs are more hypnotizing. Like "All The Love In The World". That piano loop... Yeah there's more piano showing up. I think fans will love this. Those 3 leaked tracks are nothing compared to the clips. And Trent sings more. Falsetto? Yes. Only and You Know What You Are? kick ass.
