This article on mtv.com reports that Trent Reznor will be among a large group of artists 'partaking' in a Hurricane Katrina relief special called "ReAct Now: Music & Relief," airing on September 10 from 8 to 11 p.m. ET/PT. According to the article, the fundraising special "will air simultaneously on MTV, VH1, CMT, MTV2, VH1 Classic and mtvU, as well as on the broadband online channels MTV Overdrive and VSpot." Source. (On a side note: If this is necroposting, I'm sorry, I guess. I just assumed Official Threads were outside of those boundaries. If not, we can make a new one.)
A new Nine Inch Nails song was debuted last night at the ReactNow event. The song is titled "Non-Entity." Trent Reznor also performed Hurt at the event. The video can be watched both here and here. A direct audio rip can be downloaded here. Also, if you can't watch the normal MTV version of the video (like me), use the Overdrive one. It works perfectly except for the fact that it requires Internet Explorer.
Non-Entity is a great song, and I love how Trent used Johnny Cash's version of the Hurt lyrics and how he used a boombox for percussion in Non-Entity. laugh.gif

Yah that was a pretty cool performance, I don't know how you figure Mark but I dont really think that would have fit on the Downward Spiral.
I would say more post-Fragile. Before With Teeth was even thought of. In the "Still", "All That Could Have Been" era.
Holy.Crap. I was searching through random sites and found out that Maroon 5 covers Closer in live sets. I found a copy on the 'net and it's surprisingly faithful. EDIT: Or rather, they used to cover it in 2003.
If it hadn't been for this site and you guys I would never hear a single song from NIN. You guys got me into them. Thanks
I think they only covered it for a 3-song online EP (for download only). It's called The Limited Set. They could've played it live though, I suppose. I haven't heard it, however.

[/b][/quote] Yeah, it used to be their closing song. The joys of archive.org, they actually archive old concerts as long as consent is given by the band. Maroon 5 was okay with releasing those.
