So I got the CD from Best Buy (anyone know why the CD is only going for $5.99?) and I can't stop liking it. I can still notice touches of Linkin Park and Breaking Benjamin here and there but Red is definitely pushing to create their own identity. My favorite songs are Faceless, Buried Beneath, Watch You Crawl, and Best Is Yet To Come.

I read the news this morning. It's their first talk show appearance. I'll be tuning in for sure.

So I was listening to their new CD for the first time last night. Only made it about 5 songs through before I was getting tired and had to quit, but it sounds almost identical to their other records. Strings, power chords, some piano, screaming, and pretty much the same song structure. Hopefully the rest of the CD brings some surprises, otherwise this will be very disappointing.

So I've listened to the album enough now to give my final opinion.

At first I thought it was too bland compared to EoS and I&I, but now I realize that this is an all around strong CD even though it is a bit of a step away from their previous works. I rate it above EoS, but behind I&I.

Yeah, in comparison to Innocence and Instinct, I don't think Until We Have Faces holds the same caliber as it, but it's damn near close.

RED is on Leno tonight! They were great on Conan and I hope they bring it like they did then.

They played "Not Alone" on Jay Leno. At one point in the performance Michael made me crack up. It was at the beginning of the second chorus, the camera was on Randy and Michael just appears next to him. Haha, it was great!

My thoughts exactly, until I heard the second half of the CD. I don't know why they crammed all the different songs in the second half, the album sounds unbalanced that way.

It'd be great if they keep experimenting and make more songs like The Outside. Their formula is starting to get old.
