30 gig is 299, 60 gig is 399. Rumor right now is an 80 gig iPod. they will continue upgrading. By december I bet they will have only 60 and 80 gig iPods to buy. If my local wal mart gets these, I will get one. Sad thing is I bet they only get the 30 gig. But that's ok with me.

Other rumored upgrades are for the powerbooks and tower.

I love this new feature. I'm hoping soon that they will have movies to buy off of iTunes. My dad has already bought an episode of Lost and we just got done watching it. It's on a windows machine and it just looks amazing. The only problem is that you may not be able to burn the episodes onto DVD. You can only play them through iTunes.

I'm glad I waited to buy an Ipod. I would of loved the U2 Ipod just because it was all black with the red wheel :teehee: but the new Ipod looks amazing and seems to be 100% better, I cant wait to get it :D I just hope they dont make a LP Ipod anytime soon.

lol....no, they won't make an LP iPod. I guarantee someone will make a LP skin for one though. That'd be awesome.

They won't, The only reason the made these special editions (U2, Harry Potter) is to go along with sepcial aditions on their iTunes Music Store.

Is there anything different with 6 other than the fact that you can purchase videos in the iTunes Store?

I downloaded it, and I can't find a thing different.

    This is fucking bullshit.

In june, I paid 655$ with tax for my 60 gig photo.

If I convert the prices to CAD, the apple store total would be 537.18 for the new video photo + around 30$ shipping. That's less for more. Fucking bullshit I say!

i know what you mean. I bought a 4th generation iPod and a month later they upgraded them. Apple always upgrades, all the time.

Of couse youll get more for less money as time moves on.

I paid $400 for a 10 gig second generation iPod a few years back. Now, a 10 gig MP3 player wouldn't be worth half of that.

And as Tekkiji said, Apple upgrades everything at least once a year, usually twice. You can't buy an Apple product and expect it to still be top of the line 6 months later.

You're is minor. A week after i bought mine they released the U2 edition and iPod Photo.

And by Apple keeping on upgrading, they can keep up or ahead of the competition.

Yes, by a better and upgraded version of the wide iPod. This new iPod isn't exactly nano sized. It's still the big brother of all three.

yep. you can tell that they want to make the bigger one's smaller, but try to keep them at a large size. i'm glad that they made the screen bigger.

has any of the stores where any of you live started selling any?

I know they aren't supposed to ship out till next week, but I believe some stores may get some in by this weekend.
