Pretty much. Bless the Martyr doesn't even have "screeching" in it, it's all recorded on distorted mics, like Josh used live. So since he said something sorta unrelated to the record and kinda insulting my musical preferences, I decided to go completly off topic and kinda insult his.
Bless the Martyr is an ace record. I still need to check out their stuff when they were Luti-Kriss. Do you know if it's any good?
By "Screech", I meant the annoying, dissonant second-interval chords their guitarists use in almost every song (The beginning of Memphis Will Be Laid To Waste, for example). I got the feeling a long time ago that they were crap after I saw a live video of Shotgun Message.
<3 Jim Carrey, funny guy and kick-ass music taste. The Ace Ventura movies are some of my faves. Anyhow, figured I'd take a stab at this thread because I've recently been trying to get into some metal. I've been listening to The Black Dahlia Murder for a few months, but only just recently I've been prowling purevolume listening to Morbid Angel, Devildriver, and Lamb Of God. Once I save up enough money to get my hands on some of the aformentioned bands CDs, I'm going to be doing a lot of postwhoring in this thread, but until then I'm probably just going to see what other bands people are talking about so I can listen to some more.
Really... if you get annoyed about the sound and tone of guitars, you need to stick to progressive music or pretentious rock and roll music.
buy the Special edition re-release of the latest Devildriver album. ...and get Morbid Angel's "Domination".
Does anyone like Shadows Fall? My favorite songs by them are probably Inspiration on demand, What Drives The Weak, Power of I and I, and In Effigy, which is pretty much all f their newer singles lol
Yeah I like them, have you seen the length of the hair of their leed singer? I bought their Live DVD a while ago, quite a good DVD in fact and funny as hell I like their video for 'the power of I and I' , 'July 9th,2004, over 100 metalheads and 10 of todays premiere metal bands, over 200 pounds of food and 500 beverages, The Worlds Heaviest Bar-B-Que'
I think I'ma spam my one man band just because I don't want to make a thread about it. Name's Asylum Clique (I won't explain it unless anyone asks), and it's pretty much all metal/deathcore, with a bit of post-hardcore and grindcore (Or, just Core). MySpace PureVolume There are a couple different songs on each, so you'll have to see both pages to hear them all.
When you get to, check out the new Machine Head album "The Blackening"...sheer fucking metal, like their past couple albums (except The Burning Red)
