Halo 5: Guardians has been announced for Xbox One in 2015. More details here: http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/05/16/halo-5-guardians-announced
Good to see some true life injected into the Halo franchise! 3 year development cycle? I'm in! EDIT: I hope there'll be an Xbox 360 version...
I think this is highly unlikely since the article specifically talks about using the X1's capabilities.
A next-gen Halo has god be pumped! Though I don't have an Xbox One yet... The armor has me intrigued though. The armor itself looks the same, but the helmet and visor look completely different.
I'll always have fond memories of playing Halos 1-3 with friends but I haven't legitimately enjoyed a Halo game since then and I have no interest in Xbox One so this doesn't really excite me at all.
Really? Halo: Reach is one of my favorite Halo games, and one of my fondest gaming experiences. Weird. The single-player is fantastic.
I'm just gonna drop this here. http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/05/16/halo-the-master-chief-collection-revealed?utm_campaign=fbposts&utm_source=facebook
Really excited, all the Halo games are fantastic (except for the ones I didn't play like ODST and 2). Thank god they'll be releasing Halo 2 Anniversary this year (it's all rumor, but there are a shit-ton of things that point to it). I've never played Halo 2 so I'll be sure to pick up it up. Also, dat artwork. I'll probably be drawing that, sometime. Maybe even tonight.
Halo is so good. Can't wait for 2015. I imagine I'll have an Xbox One by then, so I definitely will be picking it up.
I'm getting the feeling that the guy at the top of the artwork will be the main antagonist in Guardians.
They've never done that before [thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/9/9a/Halo_3_ODST_Box_Art.png[/thumb][thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/5c/Halo-_Reach_box_art.png[/thumb] Excited we finally have some news. Not excited "2015" is part of that news.
There's a rumoured "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" coming on Xbox One this year and it includes Halo 1-4.
I won't be purchasing any Halo games in the first two months anytime soon after the clusterfuck that was the Halo: MCC release. The matchmaking still isn't totally fixed.
Currently the game is fine for me. Plus, why wait two months to buy it even if reviewers say that the matchmaking is perfect? You'd just be waiting to buy a perfectly fine game. I can understand not pre ordering it, but waiting a couple months seems a little extreme. Now I doubt 343 is dumb enough to screw up as bad as they did with the MCC again. If they want to keep loyal fans, they can't just release good matchmaking for Halo 5, they need to have perfect matchmaking right at release. It's the only way to rebuild the trust between their fans and keep a good name. In addition, if more time was needed to develop the game, I highly doubt Microsoft would push them to release it as scheduled if they want to keep selling Xbox's. Halo has huge impact on Xbox sales. Halo 5: Guardians is really going to be the game that decides whether 343i can make a quality game for their fans at release.
