I think it would be best if there weren't people going on there adding things like that. It's the very reason that people believe it can't be trusted.

However, there is a very large staff of devoted members who go around and check the credibility of what's being said and removing what is obviously stupid.

There was a test done to show it's reliability, and it scored nearly the same, almost better(I think it might have actually), than the Encyclopedia Britannica.

It's a reliable site, and a lot of people think that just for the reason that it can be edited by everyone that everything on there is just some random guy's opinion. It has a huge huge database of reliable information, and I hate it when people discredit it.

At my school it's banned, and can never be used as a source, even though most often it has more information on a certain subject than a majority of websites. It's all reliable information, with sources given, and people maintaining that credibility. My teacher said that she could go onto the website with no knowledge of physics and just make a physics page and it would be up there and no one would do anything. That's not true. Within a matter of minutes it would be taken down, because it would be obvious bullshit. Even if it looked convincing, it would be seen right through, because I believe there are thousands and thousands of people working on it.

Wikipedia is an excellent site. It's not the Urbandictionary.com of Encyclopedias. They are really trying to give everyone good reliable information.

K my little rant is over.

Awhile ago for the third album page for the working titles I put "Turdy Turds (Not confirmed, never trust Wiki for unreleased info.)"

    Then my IP was banned.
