so much for new album fall of 2005, id say its going to be over a year even two years. dude, what the hell is that supposed to mean? I think there's a diff between U.S, the most powerful country in the world and the developing countries in asia. I know waiting for the album is frustating but regardless of the tsunami it was sort of obvious that LP were going to take a break and do their own thing. Like Mike Shinoda's solo album, for an example. I personally respect LP for what they did and the way that they responded so quickly. patience, we will be rewarded with a new album and I'm sure its going to be good, becuase LP know that their fans will be about ready to lynch them if it isn't (kidding)
i think they're fake.. some of them sounds suck [/b][/quote] I think so.....those all are fake...come on they have just entered to studio and made the songs .....but i dont think it will be made quickly even though everything is possible....but LP now has so many projects.......Mike's doing solo album.......they collect matterial for next album it can be possible........but 14 songs have been finished quickly.........that's absolutely a rumour
here's a random comment... so let me get this straight, they are coming out with a new album (duh) and it won't sound like hybrid theory or meteora....but it's going to still have the same linkin park sound.....isn't their sound hybrid theory and meteora??.....i am totally just confusing myself so don't pay any attention to me whatsoever....
its going to sound different then hybrid theory and meteora, but when you hear a new song you will still say "Oh, thats a Linkin Park song"
Linkin Park is just a hybrid of rock and rap. They don't have to sound like Meteora or Hybrid Theory for them to still be Linkin Park.
I understand what you are saying. That's true. LP want to experiment with new sounds and new techniques while maintaining a sound that people will recognize as Linkin Park. The band said they did that with Meteora. They experimented with several string arrangements and with the Japanese flute on Nobody's Listening.
i'm scared about this album.... ya know, in my opinion, meteora and ht were almist the same... but: LINKIN PAR KIS THE VERY VERY GREATEST!!! and so, it wasn't sooo bad at all, that meteora and ht were the same. Sure, it was a little bit boring, but the music was perfekt... so i'm scared, that lp will make a shit album, because they want to do something else.... and i don't hope that lp will do some "getting money songs". let me explain, what i'll say with this: in my opinion, meteora was cut in two pices: the one was the pefekt rock part ´which relly was lp (like don't stay, Faint lying from you hit the floor etc.). the otherone is the realy good part, which showes another side of lp... like breaking the habit, from the inside... well, breaking the habit was a wonderfull song (don't get me wrong, i love lp) but, it was some kind of pop.... and that's the shit, which all the wannebes and girlies buy... so, they make more money with that, than realising a better song like faint... i think, that the next lp album will only include songs like that... so i'm relly scared
I highly doubt that Linkin Park will go pop and Linkin Park also have very high standards. Remeber Breaking the Habit was only produced because Joe and Rob (I think) made the music and thats how breaking the habit came together. Plus if tweenis or whatever do end upbecoming fans of Linkin Park, They will be the type of people to think there so five miutes ago pretty soon. Lol
I have faith in them, they should just put out what they think is their best work, because even if some people arent feeling it, other people will dig it just like meteora.
I just read on the Linkin Park site that they just got a virus on their recording computer where all the songs where saved and they had to format their computer without a chance to backup. All of the new songs have been deleted. Expect another year or 2 delay in the release. click here
I'm scared for the state of spelling in this world. tm: NICE. For you n00bs and stuff, LP haven't entered the studio. They're taking a break. So there's no way any new songs could have been deleted because, quite frankly, they probably only exist in demo form (due to LP's nature of recording ideas on tour).
i'm not really informed why don gilmore is so bad,i mean i don't know ANYTHING about him exept he is lp's producer,so if anyone has time to explain me ...
He produced "Meteora", which is basically "Hybrid Theory, Part II". He wouldn't let Linkin Park try new things, except like the 2 songs on Meteora that sounded original.
I really hope that Linkin Park doesn't fail us on the next album. I personally think that their works has been slowly...you know...getting a bit more less...likeable over the years. Xero: Amazing work. But since, at that time, Mark Wakefield was singer, it wasn't the best of vocals. Hybrid Theory EP: Amazing, but extra rap parts sort of dragged down the rock on the EP. Hybrid Theory: Pretty good for their debut. Demos were much better than track recordings. Reanimation: Rap outmatched Rock...ruined the meanings of song. But still good and I liked the experimentation. Meteora: Hybrid Theory 2, basically. Somewhere I Belong cousin to In the End. Song styles redone to a deeper extent, but awfully repetetive. Breaking the Habit, Session were better songs. Nobody's Listening was needless on Meteora. Foreword better off being one track with Don't Stay instead of single track. Collision Course: Redeemed Linkin Park's rap tracks. Ruined rock and reduced Linkin Park's part in songs. Linkin Park's only chance to redeem themselves to a satisfying extent is this up-coming album. Hopefully, it won't be a Hybrid Theory 3.
There's a reason why it's called a "hybrid." I think this EP was an example of a perfect blend of rock and rap. Preach on, brother. Musically it was genius... reinvented the remix and is arguably the best Remix Album to date. Exactly. Nobody's Listening was, no offense, rap trash while the rest of the album was like Hybrid, but more polished. Keep in mind that this isn't JUST a Linkin Park album. Of course Linkin Park's parts are reduced because this is supposed to also please Jay-Z fans as well. I think they'll be half-way redeemed by Mike's solo album, and with Chester also stretching out into other things, the band will be able to use this experience to create a more dynamic album.
it has to be more different than anything theyve released during their existence. i'd like to hear a record, which is again a good blend of the elements in their sound, but they should put a more thin line. they should make songs, which are even calmer and more electronic than "breaking the habit", or a brutal heavy song even harder than "one step closer", or they can try put both parts together. im afraid, at the end of it all, it will sound close to meteora and hybrid theory again.
