The cd came with "Don't Stay" from Jimmy Kimmel, the only rare thing in the whole package.

You get: Calendar, Letter, Postcards, Pin, Stickers, CD, Shirt (well worth it), Membership Card, Newsletter, DCShoes.com Discount card, LPU Merch 15% discount, tickets presales, meet and greet exclusiveness, website access. The website doesn't have any exclusive news or anything, it's all put up on LP.com, sometimes earlier. The video is just 2 or 3 videos of the guys in the airports. And there's no rare audio. The forums are full of teenies, too. Chats are just as regular with LP.com than they are with LPU.com and the guys post on the LPMB way more than LPUMB. I think the shirt/odds and ends/cd for collective purposes makes it worth it.

Most band shirts cost around $20 online. The LPU is basically like that, only you get all the extras with the shirt, as well as a CD, for only $5 more. That's why I like it. Granted the CDs aren't that great, but the odds and ends make up for it, as Mark said.

Yea. You're all mostly right. The LPU is kinda teeniefied. The Shirt does rock, and you cant beat meeting the band before the shows and being first in line (or on line hahahah....) for tickets. And its another plus when the band says "This One is for the LPU" and "LPU, U GUYS ROCK" or just even mentioning LPU makes me feel special. Its worth joining, for sure, if you really enjoy LP's music. But most good things arent kept secret or "underground" for long.. Much like the gold rush in the 1840s..

I think that it is going downhill but it is still awesome. I joined 2 years ago and got the EP. I think that has been the best thing. I also liked the 1st shirt the best. I think the meet and greets are great and how they gave one free ticket to the LPU tour was awesome.
The boards on the LPU are ok. A lot of stuff is posted 20 times and a lot of people are teenies as already.
Overall, I think it is well worth the money but there are way too many people on it now.

Well, LP isn't coming anywhere near me except for the Toronto and Montreal shows, which I can't goto due to exams, and I already have access to the site... :shifty:

Plus I could just download the LPU cd if I wanted to...

So really, I'm paying all that for a t-shirt. It's a good deal, compared to what I'd pay for a LP tshirt in a store, I just have issues waiting for things. Seems like too much of a hassle for me. Maybe in 4.0 if they release a better package...

If you live close to LPU Headquarters (I guess it's in Los Angeles, could you just go and pick up your package? ;)

That's exactly what I do... the LPUMB and the LPMB are too teenie-fied for my liking.

I agree with what Mark and Will said. Yes, the forums are kind of... blech. But thats what lpa is here for. ;) The shirt looks really cool and perhaps the cd isn't what everyone expected but the other stuff make up for it. Also, if you're the type of person who goes out. The Meet and Greets and all that are great. I think its a great thing. I was planning on signing up on a Meet and Greet for a friend but.. the list is full on that date. :\ Still, I think LPU is great. I mean, come on. You get more than your moneys worth. *Enjoys her 15 percent off* ;)

The LPMB actually has less teenies on there.

I guarantee at least 50% of the people on the LPU has a password that consists of "mikeishot"

I used to use "DamnitIcantthinkofapassword" as a password. But someone found out. Than I used "a". But someone found out. So now I use the ultimate password. :chemist:
