Hyouka would be a good one currently running. It does have some quite unorthodox elements to it though.

I just realized Byran Cranston's acting in Macross Plus is top notch.

And is it just me or does anyone else think that the art style and story of Fairly Tail appear eerily similar to that of Eiichiro Oda's and Gorō Taniguchi's works on One Piece?

    Three of the favourites.

BakaTest is absolutely amazing and probably in my top 3.

I've been meaning to Check out Baka to Test.

I just recently watched the first episode of Steins;Gate. It was not horrible. I will continue to watch it to see if it suits me.

Steins;Gate kicked all sorts of ass. It's definitely worth the watch.

The premise is just ridiculous (in a very bad way), and there are tons of plot holes. I'm interested in only the end.

As long as unorthodox elements doesn't include incest, we got a deal.

Well, my blog is releasing a review of it (among others including Haruhi Suzumiya) at 7 PM tonight, so feel free to check it out there. It's got a couple of video clips, a brief synopsis and *very* mild spoilers. I did a pretty good job of keeping the text spoiler-free, but there's one image that is from the very last episode. I don't think it really reveals much though.

There's this anime about basket ball that I'm kind of interested in, I don't like sports much but I am willing to give it a try.

Nothing that unorthodox. The direction of the film is different than a lot of other anime. It's also a slice of life mystery, so that further adds to the weird effect.
It makes each episode feel both short and long at the same time. The pacing is unique.

I saw my cousin watching Kuroko no Baske. It's watchable if you're not a basketball fan but it'd probably be a more engrossing experience if you were a basketball fan.

Toradora! is fantastic, second only to CLANNAD imo.

In a couple hours, my blog is gonna post a collection of short reviews, and among them will be one for Toradora! but also for The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, for those who are interested. And btw if you haven't checked out Haruhi you definitely should. It's definitely one of my favorites.

I'm also planning on looking into Angel Beats and Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka, if anyone wants to put in a good word for it.

I'll put in a good word for Angel Beats. It's written and designed by some of the same people that did Clannad, Kanon, and Air TV. It's only 13 episodes long and unfortunately may leave you wanting more, but I would say I was satisfied by the plot, animation and the series overall. I wouldn't say it's as good as Clannad but it's definitely a decent anime if not a great one.

I started watching Toradora! yesterday with my girl (who had actually watched it before) and I can say that I'm liking it so far, so I look forward to continuing to watch it.

I'll be sure to check your blog, SuperDude. I also recently started watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, though I think I need a little persuading as to whether I should keep watching it or not.
