I dunno I'm kinda with you on that. I tried watching the first two episodes and it hasn't exactly grabbed me.
I watched so much or im still watching: Highschool of the dead The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi He is my master Naruto One Piece Inu Yasha Ouran Highschool Host Club Hikaru No Go Death Note Eyeshield 21 .Hack//Sign Wolfs Rain more and more
I've watched well over 300 anime and some of those anime have more than 100 episodes. It's hard to remember them all (as I mentioned before) I think I will try to watch Clannad and start back up on One Piece which I never really found the time to keep up before. I'm also looking for another good romantic anime, something a bit somber, not camp and not exactly comedy but with little comedic elements. Something not too cheesy. I also think that 「坂道のアポロン」 (Sakamichi no Apollo) does sound appealing to me.
re; good romantic anime. Have you seen Honey and Clover? I enjoyed that a lot once I got into it, probably more of a slice of life thing though. I thought Ef: A Tale of Memories was really good, but it's pretty serious most of the way through, not comedic really.
And ToraDora! definitely fits the bill of somber, at least once you get into the "second act" (around ep. 12 or so). There are comedy elements in the early episodes though, and it's amazing how seamlessly it transitions between the two, such that you don't even notice it happening. Edit: Minus, I'm sorry I ever doubted you. This Clannad stuff is tragic...and addictive.
In an effort to revive the thread, let me just say that I was totally wrong about Clannad. I still don't like the art style but goddamn the story is good. I still don't think it's better than ToraDora! but yeah.
Whatever was spoiled probably wasn't that sad. None of the deaths are anywhere near as tear jerking as a particular scene set amongst some flowers...
Yes, I clearly spoiled the entire series right there. It's not even worth watching anymore now that I made that post.
You don't even know what was spoiled for him in the first place. Now he'll be bracing for deaths AND a scene in flowers rather than just enjoying the experience as a whole.
THANKS A LOT YOU FUCKS Nah, just kidding. I dont really care about spoilers all that much. It was just annoying that he had to let spill that someone like her dies, like it's almost too obvious now. Edit: God, it's so depressing after Tomoya graduates. It really all goes downhill from there, doesn't it?
Lol this might just be the smallest thing I've ever seen argued about in my entire life. It wasn't spoiled for you so what reason do you have to care? I could even say that you calling it "tragic" was the biggest spoiler of all considering that implies death, before said youtuber spoiled the main death for him. If the story is good you should be able to enjoy it the same even if you have it spoiled for you.
DBZ and YYH? Of course. I haven't watched them since I was a kid, but I definitely sit down with them when they're on. Chill man, I think he was just messin' with you.
I don't think you're reading my post right if you actually think I'm emotionally invested in arguing that I wasn't spoiling anything.
Okay...anyway, I've just finished Clannad, except the Kyou Chapter at the end. What a ride. I feel emotionally spent.
