^ haha thanks - I asked Jared if he likes LP in general or not. He replied... @Demigodzilla not really, i dont hate some of their singles,"sun wont set for you" is an ok song, but i detest their earlier rap-core stuff Major LOL @ "sun won't set for you"
If he likes SOTD, link him to TLTGYA. Actually, IPS was the first thing I thought of after hearing new LP. Now curious to check out Pendulum; they any good?
I find it funny that they don't like the band and yet they jumped at the oppertunity to open for them at Milton Keynes road to revolution lol. Also where are the drums on the entire Download EP Jared? And yes Shadey, Pendulum are awesome. Check them out.
Pendulum are BOSS, so I can't really see a problem with Jared's comparison. Also Jared needs to listen to M2M, it'll make him appreciate them.
The thing is, I certainly don't agree with him that LP tried to rip off Pendulum. Hell, there's more of a case to say that IPS ripped off certain elements of Pendulum. I love all the bands involved in this debate, but I don't think Jared should be saying that kind of stuff because he doesn't really seem to know LP. I'm not saying everyone should love LP but his remarks about the band being rapcore and rippied of pendulum on his twitter were a bit disrespectful coming from a fellow established musician - especially when LP practically gave them their big break in the UK (let's be honest, IPS wouldn't be anywhere near as big if they didn't open RTR) I'll have a chat with Jared about it when I next see him.
Now that IPS are signed to a label, I'm wondering if it's out of the question to think we may get a new album before the end of the year...
Could be pushing it a bit. I mean the end of the year is creeping up fast, I don't know if all the things could be put in place in time for an album release..
Yeah, they were all sampled. ;D Also, -- Straight off their first official “Dead Fame” Tour this past summer, and following up performances at SXSW in Austin and WMC in Miami, Midnight Conspiracy will bring their dirty electro rock on the road again this fall touring with Innerpartysystem. Not limited to just beats, they also boast a clothing line, and Midnight Conspiracy street art can be found in cities along their tour route. They’re set to release heavier official remixes of Editors, Innerpartysystem and fellow Chicagoans Lucky Date and Gemini Club. [source] --
Midnight Conspiracy's remixes are pretty awesome, my favorites being their remixes of Crimewave by Crystal Castles and New York City Speed by Kill Hannah which was also the same remix they used for Night By Night by Chromeo. Minuteforce has probably heard already because he's on the IPS forums, but have the rest of you guys heard Patrick, Jared and Andy's old band Thirteen Over Eight? I was aware of them for a while but never really checked them out until recently and I'm amazed lol. Patrick screaming, Jared on Bass, Andy on Drums...pretty decent hardcore music even though Patrick's vocals hadn't really hit top form by then. Still worth a listen!
Go here to download the Nylon Tour Promo Sampler featuring a new IPS track titled 'And Together'. Really good dance song but again, not the same Innerpartysystem.
Not the same Innerpartysystm? Does it matter? As long as it's good then I'm for it. Same with Linkin Park. Some good shit, both them and IPS.
If anyone happens to have a link to the Nylon Tour Sampler, for whatever reason I haven't been able to find it.
