It's rated 12A here in the UK.

I'm gonna see it when it comes out, it looks awesome... :D

Edit: When, on the second trailer, it said: 'One storm' I expected the next part to say: 'to rule them all' :wth:

personally I hate it when a film is given a 12a rating it ruins it (I.E termintator 2 was a 16 and that kicked ass , T3 was a 12a and that should get its ass kicked) I blame that on spider-man since it was then when the whole 12a certificate was introduced, but I realized that its all about fulling up seats in the theatre.

Financially, I think this film will be a major failure for Fox (studio?). The advertising campaign was just awful, hardly enough promotion in the right places and too much emphasis on shock value and little on the actual story.

Independence Day did so well because not only was it an apocalytpic tale of aliens invading Earth, but it showed how that invasion changed the lives of people across the spectrum. Plus, it was not solely dependent on graphics.

As for NY being a target for explosive movies, it's probably because it's such a popular symbol for America. Either that, or Roland Emmerich is a terrorist. :p

having seen the film last week ( which I give a7/10 )rumour has it that Roland had England wiped out first in Day after tommorow due to the harsh critisism from the british public regarding the movie The Patriot , and how the brits where portrayed in that film.

I saw the movie on Friday and I really liked it... the people around me complained and seemed to not like it as much. It was an awesome movie!! I really liked the story, the special effects, and the eye candy.

good choice, any way the effects in one scene are so bad it's laughable! i was walking the ile [checking for outside food and drinmks, feet on seats, and so on] and looked up at the screen and saw these cgi wolves chasing down two guys, most people had grins on their faces, becuase the wolves were just awful...but the wave scene redeems the movie, and the twisters looked dang cool too
