I like, I like. So far. It's really good, chill rock. I used to HATE Chris Martin's voice. It's godly sometimes
Wait, wait. You mean you haven't heard it before? Do it. While being their weakest effort imo, it still has some really good music.
I totally want a Shoegaze album from Coldplay. Chinese Sleep Chant (hidden track on Yes) is so great. A whole album in that style would be amazing.
1. Seriously, screw everything about TMZ. 2. Chris Martin is an inspiration. I don't think I would've handled the paparazzi the way he did there. Love that guy.
What do you think should be the next single from Ghost Stories? I think "Always in My Head" or "True Love" have the best chances, but I'm expecting an August-September release date as they'll have to milk "A Sky Full of Stars" first.
They haven't really performed "Ink" in every show for Ghost Stories though. I finally bought GS...but I'm disappointed that there's no deluxe edition released here.
If "Midnight" will be promoted massively as the next radio single, and performed in award shows they'll alienate everyone in the world.
Real random, but I recently made my own edit of Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends in a playlist, and though it isn't as good as the base album, it's a great listen, and has great flow. Hope y'all enjoy (if you decide to check it out) Tracklisting: 1. Life in Technicolor ii 2. Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground 3. Glass of Water 4. Lost! 5. 42 6. Lovers in Japan / Reign of Love 7. Rainy Day 8. Yes / Chinese Sleep Chant 9. Viva la Vida 10. Violet Hill 11. Prospekt's March / Poppyfields 12. Strawberry Swing 13. Death and All His Friends / The Escapist NOTES: Had their been a version of Life in Technicolor ii with the album intro, and outro that fades into Cemeteries of London, it would have been used, Cemeteries would remain at track 2, Glass of Water would be after 42, and Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground would be in between Strawberry Swing and Death and All His Friends. Since there isn't a version of Technicolor ii like that, you have the above track-listing. Sidenote, I just discovered this existed, and it's fucking awesome (still not as good as the album version though, just a very, very nice contrast). Looks like a well balanced setlist. I would have loved to be there. Needs more Viva la Vida and Parachutes though.
Yeah, I wasn't really impressed by any of it. I've listened to it several times, because I want to be into it. It's just a rough go. There wasn't a whole lot that was exciting about it.
Like MX this album also stopped drawing me in after a week or so of it's release. A lot of the songs here don't reach their full potential and/or come off as 'thin'.
So apparently the soundtrack for the new Zach Braff directed movie Wish I Was Here (which looks great by the way) includes a new Coldplay song with Cat Power, also named Wish I Was Here http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/music/2014/06/17/shins-coldplay-bon-iver-on-wish-i-was-here-soundtrack/10700715/ I think it's worthy noting that the last time Zach Braff put together a soundtrack for his movie, it won a Grammy.
