    1. Because he's in a Rock/Hip-hop band
    2. To show the message of the song
    3. To give more energy especially to the fans.
    4. (I've seen this in a MTV Special) His screams also cames from his experiences especially during his childhood.

    i like him screamin, atleast i know when i'm not feeling nice, i don't need to...for me it has meaning but i don't get to how i can express it...

    and joe he is better at directing and art than his scratching..or maybe all of it is awesome...

    If you listen to the songs, they are words. You just need to have an ear for it. In 'A Place For My Head' he screams "You try to take the best of me, go away!" multiple times. In "By Myself" he screams "Myself". In "Don't Stay" he screams "Stay away from me!".

    All his screams, to me, have sense. I can pick out almost everything he screams. [/b][/quote]
    LOl...yeah to be honest I don't know why people can't understand his screaming, he just screams, the screams are only a small part of their energy etc towards their music! And Mark, I can hear everything he says in his screams too ;)

    On Live In Texas, I think Chester's best screaming work is done... In a Place For My Head.

    It's simply fantastic and you can just absorb the energy and passion from the TV!

    Chester can just nail those notes while screaming, and it's unique nature is part of the reason I love this band!

    I like the answer Re: chesters screams: "Because he can". Like asking why a dog can lick itself... i guess!
