Chester's pumping when he says "Will we burn inside the fires of a thousand suns" is very iconic to me. I can't get enough of it!
I like the plot of the video. The combination of people running from something, people wearing gas masks, a city in ruins and an explosion of colors creates the "end of the world" scenario that Joe was talking about and in all honesty it's something I can picture occurring in real life. I'm definitely going to watch this video a couple more times and see what else I missed.
The Video is Amazing and it present how the band became mature in their ideas, how simple they presented their ideas and messages to the MATURE fans, who grow with the band ! Linkin Park growing and moving from style to another, without changing WHO THEY ARE, FROM WHERE THEY CAME FROM, thats what i love in them, the REAL artist they'll feel and understand the direction that LP chosed! Go LP ..... your the best BAND i've seen in all My life till now.
Cant even watch it on VH1 in canada, and there is absolutely no news about linkin park on mtv.ca, canada must not like em that much
I mean, if you HAVEN'T tried it yet, LP did post this on facebook: [Outside the United States? Visit http://linkinpark.mtv.com/ to watch "The Catalyst"]
Ya i tried but it directs me to the canadian MTV, and the last article they had about linkin park was the premiering of New Divide
I did, it just directed me to mtv.ca though, and I can't see the video there. Thanks though, maybe they'll add it later.
Very nice video. I like the irony of the subject matter of the song and video being dark, yet a good portion of the song is upbeat.
ya, the video itself is epic but it still lacks a bit energy to suit the song. Great work by Joe and great performance by the guys!
So on the 3rd watch I finally caught Brad dying. And it is now clear to me that Mike represents "death." I think he's talking to Chester's subconscious or something along those lines. As predicted, this really grew on me. So much symbolism. I love it.
