That is a really cool thing - having that guy hidden in the middle. What does it mean though?

 

I'm confused. What did Keaton do to the image to reveal this?

 

It'd be funny if the person weren't meant to be there or be seen. "Damn it, get the art department on the phone!"

 

After tinkering with it myself, I'm pretty sure he played with the Levels (white, midtone, shadows) and the RGB levels to reveal this. I'm sure cranking up the Saturation and Vibrance also aided in seeing what was hidden.

It looks like someone holding some floating ball. Like they're controlling a planet or something lol.

 

Pretty cool. It sort of gives us the feel for the actual cover art for the album, as far as colors go anyway.

I think that black hole and that guy inside is because we are getting closer to a black hole? apocalypse? armageddon? Just my thought

I've never taken a picture of a lens, but assuming this is what the cover is, the person photographing it would have to be square centered with it. If that were the case, it's possible we're simply seeing the reflection of the photographer.

That's simple speculation though. I'm pretty sure LP (or whoever were in charge) wouldn't make such an oversight, but if it were, this is probably just an accidental reflection that wasn't taken care of in post.

 

I agree. There's no reason why whoever made the art couldn't have just used black paint for that part of the artwork. This fits the whole puzzle thing perfectly

Edit: Nowadays don't they just make album work on the computer? Why would somebody be taking a picture of it?

 

Ah I see. So it could be actually - but I still have doubts because I can see the guy without the editing, so why couldn't they....
