Really am looking forward to this video. Definitely an appealing direction, simple but effective use of smoke screen. The song is pretty lengthy as well so i expect the video to be a good length, can't wait

 

I've got ridiculously ridiculous expectation for everything "A Thousand Suns" right now. There's no way I'll be disappointed. The cover art threw me off, but since Mike mentioned that it's just so minimalistic compared to everything else, that works just fine for me

Time has gone by pretty fast.

 

This is exactly how I feel. I feel like they are back on the path to legendary status I felt they had when LP showed all the potential they had in a very strong efforts in the HTEP, HT and Reanimation. Meteora was them trying to recreate the Magic that was HT and MTM was them trying to break out of that box but being unsure of how to do it. This feels like they remembered that their goals when they first came out was to try and be innovative and create a new sound that was based in the melding of rock, hip hop and electronic elements.

Edit: I just watched the Blackout "Freestyle" vid on LPTV and I've got to say it blew me away. I can't wait to hear the song, I nearly orgasmed, lol. This album is going to be ridiculously epic.

 

And if they don't win a fucking Grammy for Album of the Year

 

you know, I loved the making of the video and all the clips they showed us and I am very excited for it, but I was more interested in the behind the scenes stuff and how close all the guys are together. Still joking and having fun and making awesome music as if they just formed yesterday. I loved the FPATPF DVD and wish they'd do another like that. I love seeing all the interaction, they STILL seem like awesome guys who wouldn't snub you if you hung out, it'd just be a lot of fun, I'm glad they have grown up and created what they want in A Thousand Suns. and this is the exact point where I shed my Hybrid Theory street soldier wings and brace for the future of Linkin Park.
