I dont think that this is really a rip-off. Yeah there are some similarities, but cmon...
Eh. The chorus is a bit similar but that's it. People are really grasping at straws in here at times.
I think it's pretty nu-metal but, IMO, it isn't a rip-off of any of Linkin Park's songs
Similar to what song?
You know, that song ... by that band ...
Lol my bad, I should have clarified. The melody reminds me of Don't Stay.
It kind of sounds like Don't Stay and Runaway, but it's far from being a rip off
Just because I want to bring this back from the dead...
I absolutely love this band and this song, and I look at this as more of an inspired adaptation rather than a rip off since Dustin is a fan of Linkin Park, however around the 3:20 mark, the synth sounds a lot like Papercut.
Either way, the song is beautifully composed and I'll still like it, despite what you guys might say.
I've listened to that song (and album) countless times and have never made that connection. I know what you mean though.
Off topic here but I think this song is a kind of a rip-off of Alicia Keys' "No one" but
they changed some melody.
New Divide rips of What I've Done
THIS SO MUCH
Ill Nińo's "Lifeless...Life..." bridge is almost a carbon copy to the bridge in "Lying From You".
Does this piano intro sound strangeeeely familiar to any of you?!
Mhhh, yeah , definitely something from BTH
Yes it does! David Guetta is totally ripping off Johann Sebastian Bach or Ludovico Einaudi.
(starts at 2:50 if it doesn't skip straight there)
(starts at 51 seconds if it doesn't skip straight there)
Or wait, maybe he's ripping the beginning of the E.S. Posthumus NFL remix of Run This Town.
Or possibly Michele McLaughlin's Perseverance.
Point being, that's a very common piano line.
wow, even Bach stole from Linkin Park ...
Meh. They were in the studio at the same time so I highly doubt Ill Nino copied Linkin Park. They also recorded on opposite sides of the country.
