Yeah same and agreed! I mean... So many AWESOME superheroes (and gods... xD) in one movie, just can't go wrong. It might even explode because of all the awesomeness!!
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/marvels_the_avengers/ Nearly at consensus; 96% 25 reviews - 24 fresh, 1 rotten average score 8.3/10. It's pretty much glowing reviews end to end. For reference - Iron Man 1 is at 94%, 7.6 average. The Dark Knight - 94%, 8.4 average. Next Thursday can't get here fast enough. Let us know what he thinks of it! I hope he likes it.
I've probably said it at some point already, but if anyone hasn't watched Whedon's "Serenity" I recommed it while you're waiting for Avengers, it'll give you an idea of what he can bring to the table. Then go back and watch the TV series. About 2hrs 25mins. The very first cut was 3 hours I believe, Whedon cut the flab.
The Avengers with The Dark Knight Rises and The Amazing Spider-Man brand new trailers attached. Bliss.. May 4th can't come sooner!
I can't WAIT for this movie. They're doing the Marvel marathon where I live, where you can see like all the movies and then The Avengers at midnight for $40. But I unfortunately don't have $40 to spend to do that right now.. I'm just going to go to the regular midnight showing and scrounge up some money for it.
I heard recommendations to not see it in 3D. I don't think it was shot to be 3D and they just added it after everything was shot.
For anyone who hasn't seen them, the two Marvel One Shots. First, "The Consultant", explains Tony Starks cameo at the end of The Incredible Hulk: Second, "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Thor's Hammer", shows a little incident Agent Coulson gets involved in between leaving Stark in "Iron Man 2" and showing up in New Mexico in "Thor": Yeah, it's a post conversion.
