yea me too. i just got Welcome, and it's like what you said, it's kinda soft..er.. i think i'm gonna get Gift soon as another christmas present to myself. but that long video was interesting! Last edited by LProckon at Dec 24 2002, 08:42 AM
yeah i will most likely buy gift during the january sales! i only watched the start of that video, i got bored after a while
The video just consists of Taproot in the studios. With the 'which is the better album' subject, it all depends on what mood you are in. The majority of the songs on Gift are heavier than what they are on Welcome. So if you are in a 'pissed off' kinda mood, Gift would probably be better, but if you are just relaxing, Welcome would be the better album to listen to. Stephen Richards(vocalist) has said that they rushed Gift so they could go on Ozzfest, with Welcome they took their time and got exactly what they wanted, more harmonies are used and its much more melodic, where as with Gift its more heavier and doesnt sound as 'produced'. So it all depends on your music style and what mood your in I think. I think Gift is the better album though
Chester 76, i just went on taproot breathe and it's a very nice site yu have there! It's really wierd the more yu listen to Welcome, the heavier it seems to get! because now i think that Mine, Myself and Fault are quite heavy too
yes... its a kewl site isnt it? i like Gift heaps better then Welcome. my foot is bleeding.... neways. i have never seen a taproot CD where i live! so they dont have them or i just dont look very much
Ur welcome. although one thing i cud say u cud improve on is the home page - maybe make it look more like the rest of the website or sumfin :chemist:
Did you guys know that Mike Shinoda is in the video on the Welcome disc? It's near the end... watch for it.
I was on the concert in Berlin (second february 2003). It was very great and they'd rock the ####### house... Stephen is very great singer... He can sing very powerful and heavy but also very soft and quiet...thats very awesome... After the gig, I bought their new album "welcome". On "welcome", there are very great hardrock songs like "mine", "poem", "myself', "when", "fault"...but also very soft tracks like "art" or "like"...I LOVE TAPROOT! They had appear to LP on their european-tour with deftones...
you guys should check out the b-sides to Welcome, Transparent & Free. i have them on WinMX. thats prob the only place you'll find em. i could never find them so i just bought the Poem Single. PEACE
Good God don't bring threads back up from the dead! *moves* [/b][/quote] why? and they aren't dead because it's not closed. Just that it haven't been replied in a long time or jit's just an old thread. :chemist:

The tour with LP, deftones, and taproot definitely kicked ass. Deftones and LP are my two favorite bands and taproot is great as well
