They look nice. Standard, mature looking LP. Remember these guys are fast approaching their forties, wouldn't expect them to dress in t-shirts, hoodies and skateboarding shoes. Chester turns 40 in two months. We've grown up, so have they. As for promo imagery, I really liked Minutes to Midnight cycle, it was colorful, and their look was as evolved as the music, as they were fresh out of the nu metal scene. ATS was really good too but most pics were black and white which was pretty much part of the concept surrounding the album (Also the pic with the sky full of stars someone recalled here was great). And not a Kylie Minogue song?
Yeah, forgot he was '76. The rest will turn 40 except Rob. And I'll excuse you for the Kylie reference. Seems like I'm the one aging fast
Mah homie also turned up with a fedora at the Chicago show in 2011. LP7 was already planned as early as then, confirmed
Surprised at the lack of fedoras considering it's a meeting regarding a fedora-themed Linkin Park album
About ten mins in of this video you will find that linkin park was recording a music video at that "photo shoot"...
Damn, Chester looks really different with that style. It almost didn't look like him, so I had to check to see if his famous ear piercings were present. Sure enough, they are. Our boy has really grown up, hasn't he?
Not really a studio picture... but anyways... Was browsing the Instagram of Frank Maddocks a bit and found this picture of 2014, which reminded me so much of the One More Light cover... Not that it means anything really... but maybe the idea for the cover came mainly from Frank Maddock? In general, there are some other shots on his insta which also show some similar scenes at Venice Beach. So he seems to like those. What's also interesting: You can actually find some photos of the OML booklet in there, for example this one: Which is no big surprise, as the images in the collage come from him and Mike (e.g. compare here), but it is quite interesting nevertheless.
It's an established thing that the cover is a Frank Maddocks photo. https://www.pressreader.com/uk/kerrang-uk/20170301/281646779921854
Well, thanks. I think, I remember hearing that before. I guess I lost track of LP insides after THP somehow. It even feels like, especially after Chester's passing, music in general and related background knowledge became a lot more... disposable, or... arbitrary for me... I guess...
