The album seems to be pop-oriented from what we've heard so far. Idk, I like it. I'd rather them go in this direction than another hard rock album, but the LP fanbase is so divisive that there's many that feel the opposite. Or maybe they can have a mix of both on one album, like "Living Things" to please both sides.
Can you chill? Just because you make LP covers doesn't mean you're an entitled to be a cunt toward someone who was making a valid point.
I think his point is kind of valid too, in that these are probably only a few tracks among some muted ones/some that haven't come in yet. If you played Lost in the echo's synth parts alone it would sound hella pop, but the guitars/bass/drums give it a heavier vibe.
If these snippets are any indication, then we may hear quite a bit of Mike singing. I've noticed some users here prefer it over his rapping, I will say that he seems to have only gotten better with each album and provides a nice contrast to Chester's voice. I have faith in what they're doing, I've been too quick to judge before. I'm sure there'll be something for most. MtM, ATS, LT, and THP were all that way for the most part. So even if some may be turned off from these snippets, I wouldn't be discouraged because of it. The band doesn't seem to like to limit themselves to just one thing. EDIT: Also, keep in mind all we've heard so far are a work in progress and small parts of songs. Some of what we hear may not even make the final cut.
Might be cynical, but I've found that, if the fanbase at large doesn't like it, that's a sign that it's good. The reverse is also true.
The Kanye West feature is coming. It's funny to think about the fact that they have probably already written the lyrics and melody for the track, but they are now trying to mold it into a full piece song in a unique way.
Yeah, Yeezy and Justin Vernon, haha It'll be so good that only us real fans will be able to handle it
Sure it's a valid point. However, rolling your eyes and being sarcastic about it adds another layer than just providing a counterpoint.
Chill man. it's was just a joke. Pop isn't always Electronic beats. for me is NUMB totally pop with all the GUITARS and stuff!
I was about to say the same thing. They must really get along with that guy. I like his stuff, but I would prefer if there were only a couple of tracks that actually featured him/credited him and sounded like his stuff. I hope this album is like THP, where we get some unique stuff from the contributors (like Rebellion), but also some great new stuff from just LP (Final Masquerade, ALITS). I'm also really hoping that Blackbear's only brining his soundscape to the table, and not rapping.
Blackbear doesn't really rap, though, at least in the stuff I've heard? I love that whole "Deadroses" album. Anyway, yeah they seem to really get along, which I find weird since at first sight they couldn't be more different. As much as I like the dude you gotta say Blackbear does come off as really fucking juvenile.
