A few year ago this picture with the board filled with names woule be worth a News post. It's something great and surely evolves a step in this album cycle. But everybody's reaction was so "meh" that the hype was killed before it was born.
Yeah, that's what I thought, too. I have nothing against all those frequent pictures, but it was just so much more exciting when they were sparse. Now that picture kinda gets lost in the crowd. Yes,we discussed the titles a bit, but was there excitement? Not really. It could also be that most people here just lived through so many album cycles by now that they don't really get hyped anymore, but I think it has also something to do with those frequent updates (again: principially, I like them). Well, let's just see. After all, we're still far away from the release. Maybe this one actually becomes the most exctiting cycle EVAR, who knows?
It's really just that, again, whether they're working titles, finals or somewhere in-between, the names on their own aren't especially exciting.
Exactly, the only thing that is interesting is the possibility that some of these titles might actually end up on the album, unlike most working titles we've seen in the past, simply because of the fact that we know that they're not leaving lyrics until the end this time. The hype will start in a few months when we get some real news of some kind.
This cycle can't get much worse than THP cycle. That was just a huge fail, in my opinion. The whole pre-album hype just wasn't as exciting. Anyway, hopefully we'll begin to get some meaty and newsworthy details soon.
Remember when Rick Rubin suggested "Breaking Point" as the title for "Lies, Greed, Misery". Not that one is better than the other lol
I for one found the drop of Guilty All The Same enormous. The rest might not have been that exciting, but the sudden release of GATS with the short teaser beforehand made up for that, imo.
Yeah, that was cool and unexpected, but what I'm mostly referring to is interaction with the fans. I love it when they get the fans involved. It makes the album cycles much more exciting to me personally, instead of just putting stuff out. I know Mike's considering doing something based on the LPA interview, but who knows what they'll decide to do, if anything.
You are right. But I'm sure they will find something cool this time. Would be weird if Mike wouldn't stick by his word.
There's another Rob's studio photo. Acoustic album and eletronic drums... hm, this doesn't match so much.
LP7's title just got revealed: "Paradox Production" Band on the album: "We did what every one before us didn't manage to do: For the first time in human music history, we actually recorded true paradox music, a hand-crafted acoustic-electronic album. Watch out that the matrix doesn't break while you're listening to that album!"
That's the tightest I've seen Rob play snares for a while. The sound is different for sure and I have trouble fitting it into a genre.
Those drums remembered me this Fargo Series theme, that i fucking love. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_tya1njaTmc
