Yeah, i think its time for the band to work with another producer aside from Rick Rubin.. 3 albums is enough, 4 is overkill.. There are great producers out there..

I'm happy they are working with Rick Rubin again. MTM is my favorite LP album, and I love LIVING THINGS as well. Wasn't too fond of ATS, but it was still a good album. I bet this album will be just as good as the others.

Yup, the one on the left is a midi-controller. The one in the middle is the Korg MS-20 synth, but I don't know if it's the new mini version or not though (they sound like each other, so that doesn't really make a difference). Finally, the synth on the right is called the "microKORG". Good guess though! :)

Shinoda says: "[email protected], Actually, Rick wasn't "producing" the track; we were writing together. 1st time we've done it, surprisingly. An experiment."

It is interesting that he's participating in the writing process that way, though. To me, that hints at the possibility that a Rubin beat might appear on the next Linkin Park album

*Rick's writing lyrics on paper. Mike's jamming on guitar*
Rick: "Hey Mike, what rhymes with feel?"

Why shouldn't it be? o_O It's Mike's twitter and it doesn't seem like he would troll with it...

Probably Ethan Mates. He's been LP's go-to studio engineer for about 7 years, and he's been known to rock the fedora.

So, umm, what do they do when he's in the studio?*

*I really have no idea how this works, please don't be mad. :D

The caption comes from the track "Numbers on the Boards" by Pusha T:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DawrlSwHUiM

I guess it's just a play on words about something they were doing in the studio, or he meant something about the music they made, like: "BALLERS, I put numbers on the boards!", which means something like "I'm doing something cool." Think along those lines.
He's definitely inspired by the song though: https://twitter.com/mikeshinoda/status/332958188091609089
