Album playback. Not album preview. If it weren't the whole thing it wouldn't say "album playback" I am also rather excite.
Must be a demo version of the album with all or most of the sobgs since they were recording drums just a few days ago. Not likely that they mastered and mixed everything else that fast
It's most definately an unamstered and unmixed compilation. But in the picture it says "album playback". So I also doubt it's only a handful of songs or just a promo ep. I think it might be a raw beta version of the album, with around 8 - 12 songs. I've got a feeling we'll get another single by the end of this month.
God why is everyone so negative and try to take news and turn it into the worst possible situation? Like everyone here takes a big piece of news and twists it into their own thought of a realistic outcome. The album is probably finished. They finished LT in April and the album was released in June giving us Burn It Down in April, Lies Greed Misery late May, and the album a month after. I also remember seeing Lost In The Echo's title in March, and the "I'm a banksy" bar from Until It Breaks in a magazine very early on. They had two tracks finished a bit ago, one being Guilty All The Same..and I believe the whole album is 98% - 100% done now.
Haha c'mon guys I was just saying everyone likes to be so skeptical. Everyone takes news with the worst possible outcome like "meh probably just demos..i'd say its coming out in 6 months". I feel with the big lack of album news lately..sometime this week we'll get something big like an official track title or a free random track like Burn It Down (remix of a remix).. Kidding
Tbf I don't think LP would invite media for a listening session of unfinished material, they are perfectionists and I'm sure they'd want media outlets to listen to high quality material so they can review properly. If anything, they just got to listen to a few songs and not the whole album. I think it's great that we don't know much about this process' timeline and these pics are the ones that do the talking, feeds our expectations without giving away too much.
A few months before the release of A Thousand Suns, I remember some medias were invited to a listening session of 6 tracks. This was before the catalyst was released and even before it was titled. So maybe it's something like that, the band is finishing the mixing, but they gave to medias the songs they've already mixed. Giving the timing left to the release, I don't think they've mastered the album.
