Just for the sake of it, here are some recent (and less recent) studio pictures taken from Ethan Mates instagram (studio engineer who has been working with LP for some times now). Since Mike has confirmed they're not working in NGR studios this time, I think those pictures are worth posting, just to get a better inside look in both that new studio LP is working in and the gear they're using right now. I didn't posted all of them, so if interested, check the link below for some more http://instagram.com/ethanmates
Well, clearly, they're still in the process of recording ... but I guess it's possible that they might be in the midst of mixing at the same time
Of course they'll eventually pick a mixer but it seems that the album recording process is nearing its end. Great.
Mike talked about tracking with tape in his blog post. If I understand it right, that's what this shows. [thumb]http://distilleryimage2.ak.instagram.com/4ebd55385bda11e391d012f99f952f1f_8.jpg[/thumb] From 2 months ago via Ethan Mates Instagram
:'DD !! I love pics when it isn't Mike or Chester who appear in them, we often forget it's 6 guys doing hard work over there.. Pumped!
No, IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE. ▲ Rob Bourdon's drumming is part of a magic ritual to speed up Linkin Park's album-recording process
It's a chord, right hand gives it away. If it was a solo, I think right hand would be clearer in the pic since it would be more steady, as the movement with the wrist would be minimal.
