It is legal to pirate multimedia in Croatia for personal use.
Spotify is not available (and the quality sucks anyway), and I'm not willing to pay for any streaming (not sure if I even have a proper card to do that with). I like having my music in file form. I mostly use streaming (counting YouTube and Bandcamp) to either discover music or listen to music I can't / don't want to download, or currently don't have on my device.

Eh, quality is fine if you set your settings to the highest quality.

That is subjective. But anyway, I prefer to be "independent" with my music in the sense that I don't like having anything between me and the music. So in a way I see Spotify as an intruder. And I don't want to always have to rely on an internet connection to listen.

Well if you're paying for premium, you won't need to worry about internet connection because you can just download all the music you want.

Its just generally assumed that if you're gonna use Spotify as your primary source for listening to music, you're gonna have premium

Physical. I only use digital download from iTunes or Amazon if it's digital exclusive, free, or elusive in physical form.

I don't like Spotify. I like having my library on iTunes laid out and tagged the way I want it to be, organized the way I like, in the quality I like. I tried Spotify Premium for the one month trial and I listened almost exclusively to one album the entire time. Bought that album on CD and now I haven't touched Spotify except to make random top 20 playlists to keep my followers entertained.

Occasionally I use Spotify to check out artists but most times if I want to check out an artist I'll take a look at music video or just go buy a CD without listening prior at all.

I honestly defend that people should buy CDs instead of streaming or downloading, that´s the essence of music, to be sold physically, even though the techonlogical world came to complicate it a lot nowadays. Between those two, I prefer streaming to dowloading, when I don´t have my sound system I always have my Spotify ready.

I think the same way as you on most of it, I agree that buying physical cds is the best way to support the bands/artists you like, but I can´t buy an album without listening to it first, either on release date or days later (on Spotify of course), so that I have an opinion about it and choose to buy it or not. I buy albums to help the bands, for collection purpose and I also have a sound system I like to spend my afternoons playing music in, just like 10 years ago (but a diffent sound system of course), some things never change even if technology forces people to. I have friends who tell me, don´t waste money on cds, but I think that, if you really like music, that´s the best way to support it, even though doing that has its price. If you are a music fan, you´ll end up buying your favourite albums no matter what.
