I'm in the middle of the record, just listened to Wastelands again. Keys to the Kingdom and All for nothing were great. LOVED Mike's voice. War, eh, nah, not so much. I'm just not into Punk, there wasn't enough structure, so I'll probably skip that one in the future. Let's wait for the rest.
i am now at GTS and im speechless! really dope shit and GTS sounds much more detailed kinda although i read some reviews KTTK managed to surprise me
Waaarrr! I'm on guilty all the same. I can't even comprehend what I've heard so far. I mean holy fuck keys to the kingdom and then that rap on all for nothing. Edit: Waaaarrr!
From a technical skill standpoint, this album obliterates all their previous work. Chester's vocals, from intense screaming to that range in MTG (has he ever gone that high in an LP song before? Fuck) Mike's rap is on point and lyrically tight. His singing is as enjoyable as ever. Plus he's produced the album so that's his major contribution. Dave is as reliable as ever. Brad woke the fuck up. He'll never be the greatest guitarist but he certainly broke the ceiling that has been limiting him from Hybrid Theory. Joe, well... Rob Bourdon = ModernDrumsGod.
Just listened to Keys and All For Nothing and OMFGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable!!!!! Best everrrrrrr!!!!! And it all leads well into GATS
Okay I listened to the whole thing now. My Top 5 of the record are easily (in order) 1. A line in the sand 2. Final Masquerade 3. Rebellion 4. Keys to the Kingdom 5. All for nothing
After first listen, I'm not sure what to think. I like it. But I need to listen to it many more times. This is their first album that after first listen I feel like I've been hit in the head with a guitar and spanked with drum sticks
I thought Guilty All The Same was the only song they could surprise me with. But after hearing this album and especially ALITS, I realized how wrong I was.
I'm on the THP page on my iTunes software on my PC. I've changed the store to USA, but I cannot find the 'first play' button so I can listen to it?! Help anyone?
Gahhhhh I haven't been able to listen yet but I'm beyond excited...curious if anyone's looked at the Living Things release thread to see what the reactions were to several tracks...might be an accurate indicator of how much of a people are seeing this record through rose-colored glasses. Maybe.
