Honestly, I like Dedicated more than Step Up. What do people think about She Couldn't compared to these two songs?
Fine then, I will give it it's own thread. I do like Step Up a lot though, its a great song. I have to say I prefer Dedicated but Step Up is right behind it.
Argh such a tough choice, both amazing songs. Seriously, two of LP's best tracks right here. I love them both. Of course Step Up has superiour guitar parts, but dedicated as a whole instrumentally and lyrically is flawless. SU is has the perfect mix & blance of rap/rock while Dedicated is like the pinical of what Hip-hop should sound like. Like No roads left - why it was cut from the album is beyond me!
Dedicated but I like Step up's chorus better! She Couldn't can't really be compared but...what about high voltage? I would say HV beats both of these songs. I love the constant use of long vocab words lol. "I mastered numerology and big bang theology, performed lobotomies with telekinetic psychology." High Voltage>Dedicated>Step up
I can see why it was cut. As great as i think it is, i dont think it fits in with the rest of the album. Across The Line should've been on the album in my opinion, since it kinda fits in a little better.
I absolutely love them both, I'd have to go with Dedicated though. But if Dedicated was 9.8/10 then Step Up would be 9.7/10, just to show how hard it is to decide!
Umm non of M2M songs fit with each other. Given up doesn't relate to LOATR which does't relate AT ALL to BIO wich has nothing to do with SOTD and so forth. They should have said "the hell with it" and had ATL and NRL on the album. Oh but wait, 14 songs? That's crazy! WE'VE ALWAYS HAD 12! Nooooooooooo!!!! M2M should have had more songs since it was just an experimental album anyways.
I feel like there is more of a sync between the songs in MTM than the B-Sides that were released afterwards. I can see kind of why they fit them in the way they do, and I REALLY don't see No Roads Left in that album, since its soooo much more different than the other songs.
TRUE. Sometimes I wonder if I think like LP because I really understand why their B-sides didn't make the album and why they felt the beat to what became "Not Alone" was too empty. I think MtM needed one more song to give it more balance, but none of the B-sides worked very well...NRL had the most potential though. Oh...and I pick Dedicated
