I try to listen to it only a few times a day. I find that when I go running though it really gets my adrenaline pumping, so I usually have it on my playlist.

I've listened to the Catalyst 5 times a day over the past week. This from a guy who hated it at first listen. :)

    LP DESERVES SOME RESPECT....
REAL LP FANS CARE ABOUT THE BAND THAT MAKES WONDERFUL MUSIC AND NOT THE ONE'S WHO CARES ABOUT THE MUSIC NOT THE BAND...
    GREAT JOB BY LP..CONGRATZ..

Funny how it's the exact opposite for me, I love the electroinc/instrumental parts way more than the emo singing.

Specialy when doing some workouts :intheairtonight:

Congrats to the guys. I love The Catalyst.

As for first week sales os ATS, I think Meteora sold 810,000 copies in its first week (in US of course) and MTM sold 630,000 copies. Those were really huge first week sales for a Rock band. I personally don't think ATS will match those numbers in its first week simply due to the very different sound of the record, something between 300,000 or 400,000 is my prediction :)

If you don't care about the music, what would be left from the band?

I'm already at 117 listens according to itunes. lol

I'm kinda surprised at those stats. I have yet to hear the Catalyst on the radio here in south Florida. And the middle electronic section has become my favorite part of the song too, though I don't find any part of the song to be emo. haha

I'm honestly still surprised at how the song's gotten such a good response ... after all the negativity that was up in the air when the previews were coming out.

Same here. I've listened to it maybe 15-20 times total since it's release. I think it's a great song but I don't want to burn it out before the album drops.
