I dl'd this over limewire and its pretty good. Apparantly DJ Lethal never released the solo project this was supposed to be on and the quality of the version isnt cd quality so i was wondering if there are any cd quality versions out there of this.
I get a feeling the version that is out there isn't even the full version of the song because it just seems too short and doesnt even have a bridge or anything. Maybe the radio station that played it cut the song short.
Hey Keaton, is the State of the Art player still up on broken-silence? That's probably your best chance, dam.
People are saying the project was cancelled, I really don't know. Lethal has been working on a solo project for like 4 years now and it still hasn't seen the light of day. It started gaining momentum last year but got tossed out again when Wes came back and they started working on a new Bizkit album. I still think Lethal is gonna realease a solo album eventually, but who knows when, or if State of the Art will even be on it. I just wish we could get the full version...I mean the Skratch N Sniff guys and Lethal are the only people that have it without the radio ads over it. Yeah there's a version floating around with no ads but it's a remix with parts looped over to compensate for the ads, it's still not the same. If you consider the talking in the intro and outro, the song is a lot longer than it seems, but there isn't a lot of meat to it lyrically. But hey, Lethal is a DJ, so granted his solo stuff would focus on his skills, which are mostly instrumental. I really hope Planet Rock does come out eventually, because if State of the Art is any indication, it'd be a great solo album for Lethal.
The only version that is real is the Skratch n' Sniff one. Might I remind you the LPA got mentioned twice on the air that night.
I've got what appears to be the full version - it hasn't got the radio ads, the intro (guitar) is ... looped ... and the sample with the bass and keyboard is lopped after that. The ending is the same. Alright, now I don't really think it's the full version, but it's the closest anyone'll get to it.
