Maybe we won't get overly-choreographed fight scenes now.

Pretty sure The Raid is THE definition of overly-choreographed fight scenes. Those can be good things.

But it's not as apparent as some films in a certain franchise *cough*Star Wars Episodes 1-3*cough*. All they do is whack their shiny sticks together.

That's how you fight with swords. You whack each other with them. Actually in terms of action sequences, the Prequels are pretty damned well done. The problem with the Prequels has always been the story and to a lesser, but still major extent, the CG.

On a related note, if you've never watched these excellent speculation videos, you should. To see what could have been.

Honestly, the fights are entirely emotionless, I don't "Feel" anything watching them, like I felt with the selective use of lightsaber duels in the original trilogy.

The fights are emotionless because the story was emotionless. The best parts of all the Prequel fights are the following: Obi-Wan against Maul after Qui-Gon's death and the final fight of Obi-Wan and Anakin. That's because of the story arcs coalescing with the violence. Has nothing to do with the actual choreography.

Seriously, watch the videos I posted.

This is my point. There's a lack of emotions in the prequel fights. In Episode 6, when you see Luke fighting Vader towards the end, he's on the verge of completely giving into anger, bashing Vader's lightsaber with his. You can see the intense anger in his face. Qui-Gon gets killed? Pssh, Obi-Wan's just gonna keep gracefully fighting. Not even Anakin shows emotion in his fights, who is supposed to be the emotional wreck, turning to the Dark Side because of his conflicting emotions within.

In the Episode 5 fight between father and son, you can see the sharp contrast in skill. Vader toys with Luke, letting him attack and effortlessly deflecting his blows.

Start at 3:40 for the scene I refer to from Episode 6.

I've watched both of those videos several times.

Can anyone with the force fly? If not, why not? Should be doing some DBZ shit all over the place. With lightsabers.

    "Chewie we are home"
    Right in the nostalgia.
    That trailer was fucking awesome.
I am not even going to watch anything else from the movie, until I can see it in full.

The fallen Star Destroyer looked amazing. I also like the new Imperial vessels I saw. The X-Wings looked amazing, as did the Millenium Falcon in flight. Seeing this connection between who is presumably Han and Leia's daughter and the stormtrooper we keep seeing. Since we're seeing so much of him and he's not being portrayed very villainously, I'd go as far as to say the trooper eventually becomes a turncoat if not already one. I have a feeling a lot of this movie is taking place on Tatooine as well. And since we're seeing sand everywhere, maybe the line "Chewie, we're home" is in regard to Tatooine. People speculate they mean Corellia, Han's home planet, but I believe that was part of the Expanded Universe, and therefore de-canonized, so Tatooine sounds pretty likely.

    I am really hyped.
