Yeah I never really cared about post-ROTJ lore, even when there was weird shit like Palpatine clones and stuff.
I mean, the Yuuzhan Vong stuff was pretty interesting just because it gave up on the Empire/Sith conflict and focused on something new and fresh, but other than that I got really bored of it. The Thrawn trilogy was of course really well done as well.
Yeah, I also liked the Corellian Insurrection in The Legacy of the Force books but that's one of my main problems with the Sequel Trilogy. Just reset everything for me, and I'm sick of Evil Empires and Good Rebellions.
LOL I know you're being sarcastic, but if the New Republic was at war with an insurrection movement, I would like it more.
So Phil Lord & Chris Miller have been fired from their Han Solo movie months into production. Kathleen Kennedy and Lawrence Kasdan have been displeased with the directors' direction on set, and Ron Howard & Joe Johnston are candidates to replace them. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/he...y-han-solo-movie-directors-were-fired-1015474 http://variety.com/2017/film/news/star-wars-han-solo-kathleen-kennedy-director-fired-1202473919/
The movie was probably gonna suck anyway so I was just further convinced of that when I heard about this.
The thing is, Lord & Miller's knack was to turn terrible ideas into great movies. They made Lego Movie and 21/22 Jump Street into not only watchable movies, but great, unique movies as well. Them being fired is bad.
Yeah, but I seriously have my doubts about what they could have done with an unnecessary backstory that likely will convolute the character of Han Solo.
Ron Howard has taken over as director for the Han Solo movie. http://variety.com/2017/film/news/star-wars-han-solo-ron-howard-director-1202474294/
Meh. Unfortunately, Disney knows I'm gonna see it just because it's SW but I could care less about this film.
Toward the beginning of this thread, back when I was a young fresh LPA user 2 and a half years ago, I mentioned my affinity for Mandalorians. Today I began building my Mandalorian armor to apply to the Mandalorian Mercs costume club. Using a flight suit, Sintra/PVC, and other materials, I will be building a suit of armor that looks roughly like these designs: https://imgur.com/a/i5pJb The next step after that (long after, when I have more money) is to upgrade my vests and flight suit and become a 501st member. This has been nerd moments with Chris.
I hope I'll like this one like I did for the last one, but I'll only watch it either this weekend or on Monday.
