The teaser trailer for the upcoming Star Wars film, directed by J.J. Abrams, is finally out.
Truly a teaser, but this looks to be super interesting. It seems silly, but just by adding the flares on the lightsabers...they just continue to do the little things that get fans pumped.
Apparently there's been some silly shit in the Expanded Universe as well surrounding new lightsaber models so eh. If they do something cool with it in battle, I'm fine with it (I actually like that it looks more like a sword now). I've said it before: people were expecting too much from this teaser. I'm personally satisfied with this teaser, I saw a nice mix of practical fx and CGI, nice looking shots with nice colour grading. They also didn't show the old cast which, in my eyes, is a great move. Otherwise people would expect them to have a major role, which they probably won't have anyways (think The Amazing Spider-Man 2). So yeah, I'm in.
Just wondering what logical purpose that little modification on the Light Saber serve. Sure looks cool though.
Well now we only have to wait a whole year! Lol Looks cool, I hope this brings it back to its former glory.
If the idea is to protect the hands, they could've gone with a regular hilt instead of one that has laser in it. But nevermind, I think it looks badass nonetheless.
You're forgetting that it's supposed to protect against a lightsaber, which most likely just slashes through a regular hilt. You could argue that it's now even more possible to cut hands (in this case, your own hands) with this lightsaber just by touching the hilt, unless it touches the metal parts... fuck knows haha
My favorite comments on Facebook are the ones about how “this trailer sucks, it doesn't even show anything." Some people's children...
