    That's oddly intruiging. It's also a shame. Tom Petty doesn't deserve to be ripped off. It's weird, because I thought "Dani California" sounded really familiar when I'd first heard it.

    I think it's just a huge coincidence and I'm sure when they finally realize what happened they'll go pay him. either way it's not EXACTLY like it there are some notes that are different *coughvanillaicecough*

    The chords aren't the same. They're very closely related, but different keys, really. You can tell because of the dissonance when played together.

    Additionally, the drum beat isn't a Chili Peppers beat. If you watch videos of Frusciante talking about Dani California, you would learn that John improv-ed the chords while listening to a beat from the Wu-Tang Clan.

    That's from Tom Petty's 'Mary Jane's Last Dance', and the structure of this verse is very different.

    Plus you have the bridge from Dani California which sounds nothing like Tom Petty.

    Whoever made that has a HORRIBLE musical ear.

    When he plays it at the same time, my ears are fucking bleeding. <_<
