Spiderman with the Black Costume is not Venom. They haven't shown Venom's transformation outside of Comic Con (if they even showed it there).
...did you not watch the T.V. show or read the comics as a kid? I apologize, I just assume that Spider-man history is common knowledge.
Yes I've read some of the comics and read some of the cartoons, as well as played some of the old Spiderman video games. I just never realized there was also a darker Spiderman. I thought that he was always in the red suit, and Venom came in the black much more evil looking Spiderman suit.
