I suggest you watch this movie in the theater. It's well worth the money, and I had to pay 15 bucks to see it too at night. I can't wait till they release this on IMAX too!

Okay, I think that it's obivious that the hobgobiln is the next villian because Harry just found his father stuff,it's not like he's going to think "Oh wow! I found some machinery in a secret room that my father never told me about, and I better not use it to get Spiderman, though I'm slightly insane and I think he killed my father. Oh well, I'll probably sell it on EBay." It would be a wasted chance for the writers not to use that operuntity
Isn't there some kind of link between the astronaut Mary-Jane was going to marry and Venom? That's what my friend said, he read the comics when he was young, I think.
Okay, not to be all technical, but in the comics Harry Osborn becomes Green Goblin II and there have been four Green Goblins actually. The Hobgoblin is some other guy who stumbled onto the goblin glider and other weapons and used them for his own crimes. I guess they might change the story and make Harry become the Hobgoblin so people won't get tired of the same character, but that might upset the hardcore fans. So many of them got mad over the absense of web-shooters. I prefer Harry becoming the Green Goblin but making the suit a bit better. People are saying he'll become the Green Goblin for sure just because of how "normal" he was at Mary Jane's wedding and how he was wearing a green tie (that last assumption was a bit extreme), but I guess we'll all find out in May 2007. Mark: In the 90's cartoon, John Jameson was the guy who brought back the symbiote (alien costume) from outer space by accident and Spider-Man stumbled upon it. In the comics though, it came from the Secret War which was this war on another planet between Earth's greatest Marvel superheroes and supervillains. His costume gets torn up and he finds this machine that supposedly makes him this new costume, which he didn't know was also a living organism. He brings it back to Earth with him after the war is over. Also, in the comics, Jameson's son becomes this other supervillain named Man-Wolf but he wasn't that well-known so I think they'll avoid that storyline. I hope all that helped.

So, would he alien suit be related to Venom in any way?
Venom = Eddie Brock http://www.spiderfan.org/characters/venom.html edit: simple answer = no.
Yeah, Eddie Brock wears the alien costume which makes them Venom. They bonded better than Spider-Man did with it because the suit and Eddie both shared a strong hatred for Spider-Man after he rejected it (the suit). A classic line I remember from either the comics or cartoon is "We are poison to you, Spider-Man. That's why we call ourselves Venom!".

I saw one yesterday about Hobgoblin where spiderman is like, "I'd call you a fool but that'd be an insult to fools everywhere!"

I remember that line! I think they kinda lacked funny lines in this movie. The only funny line from the first movie was when he said to Bonesaw, "That's a nice costume you're wearing. Did your boyfriend make it for you?"

I just heard another one: "Its possible that this is some inner-city, midnight ski team, but I doubt it."
I remember that line from the episode with the Scorpion. Here's something funny: The Lego version of Spider-Man.
