Why would you NOT want LP to change? Hybrid Theory was released in November of 2000, 2 and a half years ago.

For 2 years Linkin Park's "style" was that found on Hybrid Theory. If they were to stay the same as they were on Hybrid Theory, without changing (SiB doesn't sound much like their style on HT) their style one bit, people would get sick of the CD in no time, because it'd be everythign they had already heard.

If there was no change in Meteora from Hybrid THeory, Linkin Park would probably not be coming out with another album.

I mean, ####, I've waited for 2 and a half years for 100% new LINKIN PARK, not Linkin Park and other bands, Linkin Park themselves, the six guys I idolized all throughout my Freshmen year in high school, to come out with new music, and they finally are, and I'd be EXTREMLY dissapointed if Meteora sounded just like Hybrid Theory.

In responce to the guy talking \about "wiggers":

Well, for one thing, Mike sounds more like he's singing more then rapping, he's not spitting out words (Step Up) , he's flowing together nicely as if he were singing (In The End comes to mind here) It's not all about rap, though, Chester's verse in SiB is my favorite, it's straight out singing, and I hadn't realized it before today, but Chester doesn't have many verses to himself, it's usually Mike doing the main vocals.

    Edit:

Forgot to add my thoughts on SiB, lol

Well, I think it's a great song. My stomach was doing flips when I was listenign to the radio the day it was released. It was number 1 on the "Top 5 songs that definatly DO NOT suck" which is a thing where they play the 5 most requested songs of the day on the radio here. I knew it was Linkin Park before hand, because he said "Well, not only is Linkin Park coming out w/ a new CD, and not only are they coming HERE, to St. Louis on March 18th, but, they are number 1 with their brand new single "Somewhere I Belong" and then he played it, I about died.

I immediatly got online and searched for it, and, surprisingly, found one at 192 birate.

I must say, the song is extremly great. It's my favorite Linkin Park song. And the video is pretty damned cool. (I've seen making the video EVERY time it's been on today, lol)

Yeah..... just my thoughts, have a nice day :)

Hey I saw on the UK amazon website that the track listing for the single is 1. Somewhere I Belong (Radio Version) 2. Step Up (Live From Proj. Rev) 3. My December (Live From Proj. Rev). I think I've read it on this site already but I thought I would post it in the SIB thread.
