I've never needed stitches, but I have broken my nose when I got hit in the face with a baseball bat, broken both bones in the right arm when I fell of the monkeybars, and I've fractured my right AC joint (feel the bone which sticks out on your shoulder, now move across the bone to your neck, that HURTS!) in when I was tripped and fell into the boards in hockey.
Everyone wants to give details, so will I. When I broke my ankle I broke the growth plate(most important bone in there) into 2 peices. They had to do surgery and hold it together with 8 screws and a metal plate. They weren't sure if my leg would continue to grow right and thought my other leg would keep growing and the once broken one wouldnt. When I broke my wrists(at the same time) I had 3 seperate bones in my left wrist broken. In my right wrist I had 2 bones broken, and another bone(the growth plate in my arm) shattered into peices. The right wrist they had to do surgery on and hold the growth plate together with 1 screw and a metal plate. I now have some badass scars on my wrist and ankle. ...Derek and Will have a fondness of seeing each other naked.
I broke my arm in Kindergarten jumping through hegdes. Strange thing is I didn't feel it break. Then in Grade 9, I almost had to get stiches in my head when my head rammed into a corner of an emergency fire alarm. I still have a scar from it too.
